I really like to illustrate my own comics...i base my art more off of manga (Japanese comics). I still need lots of improvement but i have gotten ok within 3 years. i'm currently in high school i work a lot on my stories and i do get better (fast) I am very sad I cant apply for jobs on here because I have a "free" account but then again I'm not that good ...I really enjoy seeing all the amazing art on here, though. I rate myself on how well I see my my work... and how much better I can be...I have along way to go. Right now I'm really fluent with crayola markers (the not fancy cheap but amazing stuff), crayola but and prismacolor colored pencils. I'm getting there with Copic Markers (really amazing like to troll), dip pens for inking (just splatter at the worst moments sometimes ...a lot less now). I'm working in getting better at watercolor painting and Photoshop definately....(its really out of my comfort zone... I have an old tablet someone gave me and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't).

Desperate writer seeks work as close to a computer (preferably with Microsoft Word) as possible. Writing has always been my so-called "thing", you see. And just recently, after losing my beloved Borders to the Man, I've been forced to seek work elsewhere - queue your loving and generous arms. I attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, for about a year, studying creative writing and journalism - on scholarship, I might add. But later, I decided a world of degrees just wasn't for me, where then I moved on to the deepest, darkest pit that is retail. My knowledge of the writing world is not so much derived from the the classroom of a university, but more so from behind the locked door of my room, where as a child - much to the annoyance of my controlling mother - I would write for days, mostly about the adventures of my beanie babies and hand-me-down power ranger figurines, where they would usually end up fighting a monster I had imagined from my father's gardening tools. Don't judge me. Now twenty-one, I've nearly completed my middle grade fantasy manuscript, rounding up to about 80,000 words. And in between the editing and rewrites of it, would love to get some other work out there. So for the sake of lists: I'm a children's book writer, short story writer, blog writer, proofreader, fond of composing lyrics, and enjoy a nice glass of wine from time to time. Dessert wine only, of course - it needs to taste of candy. I really enjoy reviewing, editing, and creating stories/articles/essays. I'm at my happiest when I'm delving into the exclusive world of publishing, though. As for my personal attributes, I'm determined, a hard worker (think bee status), and quite open-minded to all jobs that pass my way.

I have been involved in one form of art or another since childhood. Whether it was drawing portraits or caricatures of friends or painting the things I saw in my head, putting together several issues of my high school 'zine, writing songs, stories and poetry or designing gig fliers for my band, I naturally gravitated towards creative pursuits. After receiving a B.A. in English from San Diego State University, I pursued a full-time career in tattooing and body piercing. 6 1/2 years later, after a brief stint as a visual merchandiser for a Macy's flagship store, I packed up and moved to Los Angeles to attend Sound Engineering School. When I received my certification, I had fallen down a rabbit hole of "doing the predictably responsible thing" and became involved in office administration, which led to bookkeeping--totally left brain activities! After serving as the Deputy Clerk for a tiny Alaskan town in the Aleutians, and living in several warehouses in East Oakland (surrounded by artists, but working as a financial administrator), I relocated to Austin, Texas. Again, I found myself in an administrative position, with a great group of folks......but something was missing. When the company lost funding, I was, in the blink of an eye, out of a job. Back at square one, I realized that I hadn't been doing the things I was born to do. I decided to recommit to my higher purpose: to create! I sketch, draw portraits, caricatures, tattoo designs, cartoons and comics, gig posters and other miscellany. I paint in oils and acrylics and will sometimes use watercolor to achieve a certain look. I am a published writer who is available for small or large projects as well as creative editing. I have also continued my involvement in music and am currently working on a project as a vocalist and songwriter. It is my pleasure and privilege to use my skills to help others achieve their vision.
