I have been an medical/legal editor for 22 years. Regular manuscripts and/or book proofing is also available. I do not charge an hourly rate even though one is posted. Instead, I charge by the page. If there are problems or research that I feel necessary for confirmation, it is on my own time. My medical experience involves reviewing medical records, especially for legal cases. The material is proofed and research done with questions made available for attorneys or doctors to further research from their position. Especially with records such as these being completed via voice recognition or going to foreign countries, most of the documents have mistakes. My medical experience works hand in hand with legal review as well.
