Hello. My name is Pablo Carranza and I am a recent graduate of the Seneca College of Applied Arts & Technology (Television Broadcasting Program). I began as an independent filmmaker and a writer before I transitioned my already established skills into a broadcast media environment. It has provided me with an understanding of the key elements of making something compelling and I have developed an ability to weave an interesting story from whatever facts I am presented with. During the first half of my program at Seneca, I received extensive training with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator as I worked on various projects. In the second half of my program, I was able to offline edit my production group’s final project using Avid Symphony and Avid Isis storage network and workflow. In addition, I gained valuable experience working with dialogue, Foley & ADR. In my last semester I gained a working knowledge of Adobe After Effects as I completed various assignments for some of my post-production classes as well as for my production group’s final project. During the latter half at Seneca I received extensive training in a professional news-broadcasting environment. Every week my classmates and I were tasked with performing and recording a 30-minute mock news show in conjunction with the students in the journalism program. Through this experience I was able to learn various control room positions (technical director, scriptwriter, teleprompter commander, CG operator) and studio positions (camera operator, floor director etc.) In addition, I was able to gain a fair amount of experience with electronic field production. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I’m flexible, quick to pick up new skills, and eager to learn from others. I also have lots of ideas and enthusiasm. There is nothing traditional about my experience and career trajectory but that is what makes me unique over most other applicants in any position you choose to fit me. I would be delighted to discuss any possible vacancy with you at your convenience. In case you do not have any suitable openings at the moment, I would be grateful if you would keep my resume on file for any future possibilities. On my resume there are links attached which are work samples for you to see some of what I have done in the past. Sincerely, Pablo Carranza

I am a fine atrs major, although i am still working towards my degree i have been studying art for a number of years and i am quite ambitious when it comes to artwork no matter what the medium. I have currently been more focused on oil painting, but have experience with many different mediums. Although i focus more towards fine arts i do have experience with digital art, with programs such as Corel, Indesign, Illustrator, and some Photoshop. I am very open and willing to accept a job even if i dont have much experience in a certain feild. I am very passionate about art and the work i do and will always go the extra mile even if it is only to make a small improvement, weather it be a peace or myself. I plan to post a resume very soon and look foward to hearing from you.
