I am a Purdue University student majoring in English with an emphasis in written communication. I have enjoyed a lifetime passion for writing. I have lived through a plethora of experiences that contribute to my material for writing, such as military service, homelessness, and motherhood to name a few. Besides writing on topics from personal experiences, I enjoy researching new topics and writing about the new things I discover there.

I am an enthusiastic and passionate individual who believes in thinking outside the box, therefore I treasure creativity and uniqueness in a world where the cliche reigns predominant. I am particularly discerning when it comes to detail, be it grammatical or artistic, and apply myself fully to the task at hand, whatever it may be. Beauty, dance, and portrait photography are my passion - I love capturing beauty in splendid ways, whether it is the creativity of a makeup artist's vision, the love between a couple, or the self-possession and assurance of a woman who wants a shoot done just for herself. I'm also a high-end retoucher with years of experience capable of delivering magazine quality beauty and fashion images. If you are looking to have your family or wedding photos edited (or re-edited, if you are not happy with how they came out from the original photographer), this is a service I also offer. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact me. In terms of qualifications I studied at the University of Cape Town where I graduated with a BA in Film Studies and a First Class BA(Hons) in English Language and Literature. I have since attended various photographic courses where I developed my skills as a photographer, citing my experience and study of cinematography as the basis of my aesthetic knowledge with regard to lighting and composition, etc. I have worked in retail and as a freelance retoucher, photographer, proofreader and editor. Please click on the website link above to see my photographic portfolio. All images on my site were retouched by myself.

Thank you for taking the time viewing my profile! I am an artist that loves challenges. Born in Brazil, raised in Jerusalem, Israel currently working from Canada. Loves to find true colour and beauty in life, travel, and eat:) I am a multi-tasker, multi-function human being with many hobbies and passions. Now days I do my own thing with landscape painting trying different techniques and perfecting my steeze:) I am an excellent portrait painter, I love bringing the painting alive and connecting to the picture's story. I have painted portraits of families, singles, create little/big changes in the picture or combining/modifying a few pictures to a painting. I can also change the background if needed, change from colour to B&W, pop-art whatever you want:) I paint from the heart and it shows, I live for art and I work hard. I mostly use acrylic paint but I also work with water colours, pencils, pens, ink, sharpie, oil-paint, fabric, charcoal and much more.. Hope you enjoyed my art and looking forward to work together, Shelly

I have designed many more items than this site will allow me to take credit for. I am a fine artist and Illustrator (both digital and traditional). I have design both hand made books (special occasion) and professional layouts for newspaper and magazine. In fact I was awarded 2nd in a national competition. I also do my own photography (when required) and have samples that you can refer to. I worked in the entertainment business for some years and organized all advertising, designed print, coordinated radio and TV spots and many other details. I am also a painter I've worn may hats and adapt well to different projects. I am an excellent brainstormer with equal follow through. I am the one how will forfeit holidays, work overtime, and do so without a second thought. I am determined, have a great eye for detail, and high energy. I am also an excellent listener. I want to know what is expected of me and will reach a clarity of a project which saves a lot of time. I was always the anchor woman on our "track" team in the relay races—if you get what I mean. I am able to think outside the box and also remain within the needs of the client AND the budget.
