I have been a journalist, sub-editor and editor all my working life - a total of 47 years - in the UK, Ireland, Australia and South Africa. Recently I have been writing and editing non-fiction books about significant South Africans, motor racing history, cycle racing and the history of Man and his planet. I am an "old school" wordsmith with very high standards and work best under the pressure of deadlines. I pride myself on my grammatical abilities and don't use long words when keeping it simple does the job.

My Art: I am a self-taught author and artist who works mostly with traditional media. I am learning to work with a professional digital design program called ProCreate. I will make book illustrations in any style you prefer. I will design book covers, draw portraits, paint landscapes, and provide sketches of my work along the way. I don't charge much. I prefer to take on exclusively historical jobs, such as designing for historical fiction books. My forte includes anything ancient, medieval, colonial, victorian, edwardian, WWI, and WWII era. My Writing: I am also a self-taught writer. I have written twelve novel-length works, my latest of which was 56,000 words. I love to do editing and story-consulting work for very low prices. Again, my forte is in historical romances, adventures, and biographies. I will do your spelling and grammar editing, story plot consulting, historical consulting, and historical research. Every story is worth telling.

Extremely interested in a career in comic/graphic novel illustration however my love and passion for Art does not end there. I am a huge fan of conventional graphite sketches, drawings and portraits and that is the medium that I use mostly, however I do sometimes use charcoal. Currently I have no images of my comic strips up here but they will be up soon! I would be extremely interested in any offers for commissions and depending on how long it would take and how demanding the work is it will be anywhere from free to extremely cheap as I'm looking for as much experience as possible! All comments and advice is extremely appreciated also so please keep in touch!
