Im a natural artist with many skills that I've taught myself. I've always been into Art and anything that has to do with it since a very young age. In the past 5-6 years I've been heavily involved with photography and photo editing. This needs a lot of creativity and what I refer to as the 'Artistic Eye' which I'm grateful to have as the work I produce is exceptional. I've taken and edited thousands of photo's and I love doing it. Macro, portrait, nature, abstract, architecturaland modelling photography are just some of the fields which I'm involved in. https://www.facebook.com/ioana.the.artist http://www.artistrising.com/galleries/IoanaStefan I am a young artist following a dream. I come from a long line of talented people. Some of the works in my portfolio go back to my teenage years or even childhood. Painting has been my main artistic focus for a while now but I have also engaged in other artistic activities. For the past two years I have been part of the Decorations team at the Peace & Love Festival in Borlänge, Sweden. This year I had a painting exhibited during the festival (the painting can be found in my portfolio). The latest artistic activity is taking 3D Graphics courses, this is still a work in progress. To conclude, I would be thrilled to illustrate children's books and I am also interested in other kinds of art projects. Feel free to contact me for more info.

My interest with English lies within teaching. I would like to teach writing courses, as well as teach grammar. I have taken numerous writing courses, ranging from creative writing to journalism. I have also completed a directed study for journalism editing in the Fall 2005. From February 2005 until December 2007, I was the Copy and Managing Editor for my campus' publication called "Our Times." My roles included: checking for and correcting spelling and grammatical errors; verifying facts; reviewing all rounds of proofs; and distributing printed copies of the publication in all of the buildings on campus. I also submitted photographs, advertisements, and my own writing to fill any "white space" in the publication. I have received praises from both faculty and students with every publication, and have even had student writers ask for my assistance in looking over their writing before submitting it, whether it was for a publication or for a class assignment. Not only do I have a background in creative writing, journalism, and editing, but I also have a background and knowledge in blogging. The topics about which I write are versatile; I'll write about anything. I am also always willing to explore new topics. I am conscientious, diligent, and responsible when it comes to my work and meeting deadlines. I go to whatever lengths are necessary to complete my assignments correctly and on time. I also keep my clients up-to-date on the progress for longer assignments. Currently I am a freelance writer who writes for enjoyment but aspire to turn it into a career. If there is anything else you would like to know about me, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to assist you in any way I can.

Though I was born in a small Ukrainian village in 1987, the only place I have ever called home is Chicago, Illinois. Since my family’s immigration to the United States from the former Soviet Union in 1989, I have had the fortune of experiencing the arts in multifaceted ambiances, cultures, and genres throughout my life, thus coming to understand that my passion for expression through the arts allows no room for self-limitation. My grandfather, renowned artist Yury Kanzburg, has served as my most inspirational and critical instructor from the earliest stages of my artistic education. Through traditional old-world training and the study of composition, value, line, color, and form, I learned to appreciate and apply the essential elements of art and design. Experimenting with gouache, watercolors, tempera, oil, acrylic, charcoal, pastels, ink, and graphite in my compositions from a very young age, I became quickly comfortable with a vast array of media and various techniques. By re-creating the works of masters such as Rembrandt, Da Vinci, and Goya, as well as sketching constantly to quickly capture the essence of the natural world, I was able to develop the skill and patience necessary to work between arduous, detailed studies, while concurrently building the ability to swiftly capture ephemeral instants in time. Insistent that I have a strong foundation and skill base before delving into my conceptual work, my grandfather exposed me to the rudiments which constitute my personal understanding of the multifaceted nature of contemporary visual culture. A simultaneous desire to teach and thirst to learn compelled me to earn my BFA in Fine Arts and Art Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in the spring of 2011. My 6-12 teaching certificate is supplemented by an English endorsement, allotting me the aptitude to merge both artistic and linguistic domains. I have acquired substantial experience in the secondary education field and have had the opportunity to teach hundreds of aspiring young artists from within and around the Chicago metropolis. I place great emphasis on considering the visual and literary arts within cultural and historical contexts through extensive investigation of various wet, dry, and digital two and three-dimensional media, methods, and practices, as well as consistent critical analysis of diverse subject matter, concepts, and interpretations. Inquiry-based discourse and the dissection of aesthetic, technical, and conceptual elements in the works of practicing historical and contemporary artists and authors are equally essential in my mission to make meaningful inter-vocational associations. I am constantly seeking new and diverse opportunities to submerge myself in settings that have the capacity to drive me in developing as an artist, teacher, and perpetual learner, while simultaneously providing an environment saturated with creative energy that is ready to be absorbed.
