2010 - Australian College - Diploma - Professional Editing, Proof-Reading and Publishing 2010 - Griffith University (Open Universities) - Individual Units - Media Law & Creative and Professional Writing 2007-2010 - Macquarie University (Open Universities) - Bachelor of Arts (History & Politics) 2005 - TAFE NSW - Certificate III - Investigative Services 2004 - TAFE NSW - Certificate III – Business Administration 2003 - Billy Blue School of Design - Certificate II - Design Fundamentals 2002 - KvB Institute of Design - Certificate I – Art and Design 2001 - University of NSW - Short Course – Speed Reading, Memory Training & Advanced Note-Taking. Nicole Trist is a Sydney woman with a passion for the written word. It was during her studies with Macquarie University that Nicole first realised her love for books and writing. Nicole admits that during her younger years she wasn't a fan of reading, but the first term of University was a wake-up call for Miss Trist, thanks to The Mists of Avalon, a brilliant book by the very talented Marion Zimmer Bradley. This was the book which introduced Nicole to the truly wonderful world of literature. Nicole is now an avid reader with a publishing diploma. She is also a book reviewer and writer, who spends her evenings with her nose in a variety of books. A few years ago Nicole began a book blog, reviewing books as she read them. She started forming relationships with authors whose books she had reviewed and these authors then asked her to proofread and edit their manuscripts. Nicole Trist has had the pleasure of working with a variety of people on a variety of projects. Here are some of their thoughts; "You nailed every single thing I was aiming for when I sat down to write Jetsetting Call Girl. Deeply grateful...unexpected gift from Australia" - Tracy Quan, Bestselling author of "Diary of a Jetsetting Call Girl" "I am writing this note to let you know personally that I find you to be a source of inspiration. Keep up the good work." - Raymond Beresford Hamilton, author of "Identity Assumption" "Nicole accepted my invitation to read and review my book, "Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male". She set a deadline for completion and stayed true to her word. Her review was brilliantly written and I use many of her comments when marketing the book. She is a true professional who stands by her opinions. I look forward to working with Nicole again in the future" - Philip Nork, author of "Sensitivity 101 for the Heterosexual Male" "Nicole has always maintained a high standard of reliability and conduct... I commend Nicole Trist to you as a person of strong perseverance in any task she undertakes" - Phillip Heath, Head of School, St Andrew's Cathedral School, Sydney "[Nicole] handled the work in a timely and efficient manner" - Paul Pellerini, Pellerini Partners, Accountants & Business Advisors, Sydney

PERSUASION IN PRINT I’ve Got News for You! Your Advertising May Actually Be HURTING Your Business! Your advertisements writing isn’t always selling, in fact it can be downright harmful and undermining to your business if you don’t know what you’re doing or know how to say-and-sell. Sure, you can write. You’ve made it this far in life. But can you sell face to face, and then articulate that entire sales process into writing? You’ll need to cover the vast majority of the prospects you reach in the sales message that you’re producing and then multiplying through the advertising medium your placing it in. You’ll spend the exact same amount of money for a poor response-producing ad, as you will for a great response-producing ad. The only difference will be in the preparation. The cost of hiring a great copywriter as opposed to a mediocre one, or even a novice one should not be the place you decide to cut corners. GREAT ADVERTISING Writing GREAT advertising has little to do with grammar. It has little to with spelling. A bachelor’s in English doesn’t make a Great advertisement. It hurts it. As much as these things are important. . . It mostly has to do with selling and sales. A great advertisement doesn’t simply sell a “sale” or a “discounted price” point, that’s merely a public announcement, anyone can do that. It doesn’t take a genius. A great advertisement can sell a product or service for MORE than other available products on the market, because they actually know how to sell, and can articulate that premise in their copy. I write great advertising. I write with the only premise in mind that should ever be in the mind of a copywriter. To sell the advertised product or service. I’ve been writing great advertising that sells for 25 years. I’m not flashy. Just direct and to the point. If you have a company, that sells products or services and want to have a maximally effective advertising campaign, call me. I will look at what you’ve got then pitch you a new concept. Once you’ve seen it and love it, we’ll sign and move forward. . . Advertising is your traveling salesperson, selling the public everyday for your company. It is only as effective as it generates business. Is your advertising generating the business it should, or could it be doing better? CONTACT ME TODAY If there’s even a glimmer of a doubt in your mind about the effectiveness of your advertising. . . contact me for a free evaluation of your current ad copy and concept immediately. Call me at 908-910-6402 and leave me a message. Visit my website at www.Butain.com – I will be more than happy to talk with you about how I can be of service to your company and help to grow your business.

I'm a Chicagoan writer in his early 20s looking for work as a writer. I can write about mostly anything and bring my own opinion to the table without damaging the entirety of the message. I enjoy challenging myself with topics I know very little of. I enjoy learning new things and being able to comment on them in a masterful way so as to broaden my horizons, professionally.
