Writing about something new, in a voice that best represents the subject, really appeals to me. I'm fascinated by the art and science of creative copywriting; the balance created by beautiful words, strategically shaped to hit a target. My experience includes working to deadlines, coming up with fresh ideas for writing blogs, articles and newsletters, producing effective web copy and establishing social media interaction for clients. Many of these projects included writing in a variety of styles, skilfully appealing to specific target markets. I have experience with SEO including keyword research, optimising content for search, link building, competitor analysis and Google analytics. I also have a background in art, design and music which has made general creativity and social interaction a big part of what makes me tick!

Old but young. A firm believer in comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable. Feel that laughter and insight are the panaceas to long life. Convinced that cataclysmic events in American life included the creation of MTV and talk radio. Fairly sure that what is best for most is best.

I have been working in a printing environment as a Graphic Designer since last 25 years. My main job was doing all the pre-press jobs in a production department on computer. My last job was with MEN Media (http://www.trinitymirror.com/our-portfolio/regionals/men-media) in Manchester, UK, in their production department designing and creating advertisements and making newspaper pages with integrated ads, and then creating PDF files. I was also updating the websites.

I am a young person who is trying to explore all of her options. I would like to gain more experience in all aspects of life before I really decide what I want to do with it. My main interest is anything with a design aspect. I have an eye for design and a strong desire to do anything involved with it. I also believe that design is a gift-not something that you can go to college and learn necessarily-but an innate talent that you were either born with or not born with, and I believe I possess this talent.

I always loved to write since the 7th grade. I remember we had to write a horror story and my teacher told me I had the best story in the class. After that I began writing everyday. I came across journalism my junior year of high school. I was the feature editor. I have many articles published. Now I am a website blogger for JukeBoxDX.com where I am giving topics of editorials to write and sometimes I can write about what I want. I am also interning at BeyondRace Magazine where I get to attend concerts and celebrity events and write about them. I also get assigned topics to write about. My work ethic is very impressive. Meeting deadlines is very important; sometimes I even finish before deadlines. I am a good proofreader, also at revising and writing as an academic. I have to say I work very hard to improve my craft. I also engage in writing work shops when I can. Now I want to get into freelancing.

ARTIST STATEMENT: I am a fine arts artist who isn't afraid to try any task that does NOT involve a computer. I have been studying art for almost my entire life now, and am self-taught, as well as classically- taught. I believe art is meaningful, and I love to create pieces that relate to or symbolize a story or abstract idea. I have roots in impressionist, realist, and surrealist movements- surrealism being my focused style as of late. AWARDS and QUALIFICATIONS: I have won second place in the state of Colorado for Sculpture (photo of piece included in portfolio) through the Scholastic Award. I have won a place as a student in several shows and galleries, including the Young Artist Show in Colorado Springs, the Congressional Show in Colorado Springs, and the Wunderkind Show in Manitou Springs Wunderkind Gallery. I am also currently signed with the Mountain Living Art Studio in Manitou Springs, where I have displayed some of my handmade books. I have furthermore made a 10'x20' mural in the Woodland Park High School (photo of piece included in portfolio), and been featured in the Colorado Springs Gazette for my sculptural Scholastics piece. In addition, I designed posters for WPHS "Drive Smart" Awareness Program, and contributed to local installations. STUDIES: I am currently a student of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, studying fine art with an emphasis on children's book illustration, and have already completed the illustrations for a book, which is in the process of being submitted to be published.
