I left a long career in the restaurant industry to focus on writing. I earned a BA in English & Theater Arts at California State University, Fresno where I also worked as a writing tutor in the University Writing Center for two years. After graduation, I went on to earn my MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts at UC Riverside and taught three sections of Theater 10 in my final year. RICHARD A. METHIA Dick Methia is an author, educator and award-winning speaker. Dick has taught speech at all levels including the faculty of The Graduate School in Washington, D.C., one of the world’s largest professional training schools. For NASA Dick conducted an international speaking tour for which the nation’s space agency honored him with its prestigious Public Service Award. In further recognition of Dick’s accomplishments, the Air Force Association named him a General Jimmy Doolittle Fellow, an award he received from General Doolittle himself. Hello! I am a professional artist looking to advance my career in the drawing field.Currently, my choice medium is Sai, which is digital. I used to be heavy with traditional pen and paper, but I fear I may be growing out of it. I learned how to draw using anime heavily as a reference in highschool, and have since been attempting to branch out my style to be more realistic, or semi-realistic. I want to learn how to use watercolor as a medium, and I want to strengthen my ability in Photoshop and Sai.
