Hello, Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Spencer Willets and I have been involved in the production and postproduction business for over 30 years. I have been primarily a Video Editor and Post Production Supervisor/Producer for the past 25 years. I began working at the PBS station in Hartford, CT as an intern for college credit and was involved in all aspects of television production. Upon graduation I moved to California in 1978 to begin my full time career. I began my production career in San Diego as a camera operator and audio technician as well as lighting, and general grip work. I began editing in 1982 and have continued with post production ever since. With the incredible advance in video technology over the years I have migrated from online linear editing to the nonlinear world and continue to upgrade my own systems and learn the new technologies as they emerge. Post now includes online streaming, compression technologies and working with a myriad of video formats. It keeps me reading and I feel like I have never left school keeping up with the continual developments. It truly is amazing. My last full time job was with Fox Sports and I continue to freelance edit for them and work with other clients but I am looking for a full time position. I have run post departments and managed a staff of editors and work closely with directors and producers to deliver quality projects on time. I also can create budgets and develop work schedules and monitor various projects at one time. I still love the creative process and seeing people enjoy the final product. Sincerely, Spencer Willets N. Spencer Willets SFH Productions 5642 Norwich Avenue 714 W.
