I am the owner of E.B. Howard Consulting (EBHC), a 100% Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). EBHC is a consulting firm that provides full-service development for a variety of organizations across the nation. I have successfully completed over $60M in funded grant applications and have over 10 years of experience working with the grant programs of federal, state, and local agencies. I offer the following services to nonprofits and to companies: • Research & Analysis • Funding Forecasting for Grant Funding • Grant Proposal development • Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposal development and support • Editing and proofreading services • RFP/RFI/RFQ Writing and Process Management • Project/Program Evaluation Areas of expertise include: • Start-ups (for-profit and non-profit) • Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) for NIH, NSF, DOD, and Education • STEM, specifically with innovative technology applications • High-risk & High-need populations • Education (K-12, Higher Ed, and After-school) All of my services include helping your organization become a Grant Ready Organization. A Grant Ready Organization (GRO) is an organization that is prepared to apply for grant opportunities. GROs have all of their records, registrations and audits in place, accessible, and up-to-date. GROs have engaged and gained support from leadership, policy-makers, and stakeholders. GROs align their mission, vision, and capacity with their understanding of community needs to build the foundation of their grant seeking strategy. Have a question about the services I can provide? Please contact me to for a free 15-minute consultation and quote. Let me help you navigate the complexities and succeed in your mission. PLEASE NOTE: • Before accepting your project opportunity, I require at least a 15-minute conversation about the specifics of your project. This is a chance for both of us to ask and answer any questions we might have about your project. To schedule a time to have a conversation: calendly.com/ebhoward. • Realistic Time Frames: I can not make 'magic' happen in 24 hours in the 11 hour. 1) If the project is copy-editing or any type of review, I will need two weeks notice to block off time dedicated to your project. 2) I will not take on a project with a deadline that is less than two weeks away. • Mutual Accessibility: It is important we are both accessible provide insight and responses to questions. As the owner of E.B. Howard Consulting, I will be accessible through phone, email, or video conferencing as appropriate for the project needs. In return, I expect that you, the client, are also available to provide insight and responses to questions. • Upon request, I am happy to provide you a specific list of my funding & project experience and/or references. E.B. Howard Consulting WILL NOT do the following: • Pro Bono: I charge an hourly or flat rate, and we do provide free quotes for your project. I wish that we could work for free, but our staff will not let us; they have bills to pay. I do provide a 15-minute free consultation, and we do maintain a clock. • Contingency: I do not work on a contingency basis. Due to the amount of time and resources used to assist organizations in during the development and proposal process, we must charge our clients. If you do not have any money, you are not ready to apply for a grant. Grants should never be an organization’s first dollar. You need to raise funds from individuals first: people who believe in your organization and are willing to make a contribution to get you started. A good place to begin is your board. • Lie: I do not lie for clients, and we do not work with clients that intentionally lie to us. I absolutely do not work with organizations that intentionally fudge the truth (lie) in an effort to attempt to get grant readiness assistance. Refusing to provide hard copy information, refusing to disclose certain information (i.e. not being in good standing, incorporation date, board meetings/roster, etc.) will result in the immediate cancellation of your contract, and/or a discontinuation of our services. I reserve the right to refuse to work with clients that have motives that are contrary to the grant seeking organization's mission/vision statement or a grant- making agency's funding focus area(s). You would be surprised at the number of agencies that want a grant to supplant something they already receive funding for, or simply to fill in gaps where other organizational fundraising efforts have fallen through.

I have completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with three majors (English, Communication Studies and Writing for Performance). I have also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education majoring in English (Grade 10 – Grade 12) and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Education - Honours Degree specializing in Computer-Integrated Education. I am currently teaching English to Grade 4 - 7 at an International School while studying part-time and writing my novel in between. I have been writing for many years but only recently started to call myself a writer because I realized that when my fingers touch the keyboard I can be anyone, at anytime, at anyplace and I feel that I can best express my feelings and emotions through the usage of words. If I were asked to describe the person I am today, I would describe myself as a work in progress, not because I don't know who I am but because even though I have accomplished so much having lived such a difficult life, I know that I am capable and destined to shine more brighter and succeed beyond the depths of all the boundaries. In simple, I am an introvert that loves to write and I love to help people through my writing. Follow my blog to find out more. http://mykeystrokestohappiness.blogspot.com
