My name is Barbara Outterson. I have been doing vocal performance since age 6 in various choral and church settings, worked as a church cantor from ages 18-22, attended and performed with the David Hochstein Music School in multiple Broadway musicals between ages 17 & 25. Beginning at age 16, I became a member of the Rochester Opera Theatre as a chorus member and went on to attend Roberts Wesleyan College from ages 21-24 as a Vocal Performance and Pedagogy major. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy and studied under Judith Coen of the Metropolitan Opera. I sang multiple principle roles in various operatic performances during my academic career. Upon graduation I opened my own voice studio. I became the Director of Music at Wake Forest Academy of Fine Arts in the summer of 1999 and am currently employed there as the vocal and piano instructor. My vocal technique focuses upon a healthful voice; both in speech and singing. I performed as a soprano, soloist, and chorus manager for the North Carolina Master Chorale from 2000-2011 and coached several members as a vocal instructor. My focus is a versatile and healthy speaking and singing voice and I feel that I can provide exceptional quality as vocal talent for various projects.

Den also initiated the Universal Monsters graphic novel adaptation series with Dark Horse Comics, starting with his color rendition of Universal’s classic 1931 Boris Karloff Frankenstein black & white movie. Den’s cover illustrations for PC games drew Cinematrix Studios to his door inviting him to produce concept illustrations as well as the cover packaging artwork for their game “The Revenant.” This eventually opened a new world for Den, the world of 3D modeling, and character game modeling . His fame spread and companies like Sony Online, AOL and Disney courted him to take on important projects. Even the Canadian mint appreciated the extraordinary quality of his work and engaged him to design a historical sea serpent one dollar coin. Den’s imagination knows no borders. He has done wildlife artwork, costume designs, sculptures, woodwork, sword forging and two music albums of his own. Today, he is a highly sought after artist in the field of fantasy and Science Fiction art.

Mariette Coetzee Since an early age, Mariette has realized that her talents lie deep in the heart of music. Having experienced various genre of music with particular influence from Fado and French music and from the “African Drum”, she has developed her own unique “From the Heart and Soul” style which has proved popular with everyone, young and not so young. Born in Bindura, a village in Zimbabwe, and raised in South Africa, Mariette is now a recorded artist, singer, and song writer at I.U. Studios. At the tender age of 18, she came second in a National Singing competition but her father, a preacher, decided she should focus on her studies and put her fledgling music career on hold. Her first manager, in 1989, was the well-known impresario, Ceasar de Almaida of S.A.B.C. fame, but she, tragically, lost her voice for some ten years but never gave up her love for music. With a little help from her eldest son, U-One, a singer/songwriter in his own right, Mariette has completed her, already highly-acclaimed, solo Album “GYPSY SOUL” which will be released very soon. Some of her songs are already being aired on radio stations, both overseas, and on West Coast Radio, and Radio Houtstok, and the West Coast of Cape Town has nicknamed her “Roxette of the West Coast” – such is her passion for her work. Her song, “If you only knew”, was posted on the Internet with overwhelming response and has, even, been labelled by overseas listeners as the “Next James Bond Theme Song”. Her second Album is also in the making with the working Title “Rock Album about Life” and is an exciting, in-depth view on how music can “speak” to the soul. Mariette has performed with many Artists, including Neverside Band, Danie Nieuhaus, What’s-Up, Bandana, to name but a few and she will now be focussing this year on performing “live” at many more events and singing songs from her first Album as well as providing a “taster” for some of her work still to come.
