After several years of design and prepress experience, I find myself lucky to run my own business in the hidden gem of Qu'Appelle Valley, overlooking the wonders of Last Mountain Lake. I love design! From the exciting brainwork's of conception, the burning midnight oil closing in on a deadline, to the completed piece sitting in front of you. I marvel at the relationship of shapes, text, photos and colour in a composition. Specializing in creative media solutions including print (large and small format), logo identity, illustration, web, and customized stationery, I aim to provide unique and creative solutions for my clients, while embracing the integrity of their individuality and corporate image.

My first co-authored book was RX For Hospitals with Philip Hassen who was CEO at the world-renowned St. Joseph’s Health Center in London, Canada. I then provided my writing and editing services to a subsequent book, Re-Inventing Hospitals, on the subject of health care reform. My third book, The Canadian Consumer's Guide to Health Care, was released nationally by McGraw-Hill Ryerson Inc. and received considerable media attention. In 2001, I began an ongoing collaboration with David Patchell-Evans, president of GoodLife Fitness Clubs (the world’s largest chain of fitness clubs owned by a single individual) as chief editor of a book on the role of fitness, health, and quality of life. Entitled Living the Good Life: Your Guide to Health and Success, this book is in its fourth printing and has over one million copies currently in circulation, as well as being released in audiobook format. In 2009, I assisted David Patchell-Evans with his second book, The Real Sexy, Smart and Strong (published by John Wiley & Sons and released September 2009—it has reached bestseller status in its category {Health – Body and Mind} in Canada and the US.) With former Special Forces officer Jim Pritchard, I edited the book The Warrior Mind, released by Amacom in New York in January 2006. I recently edited a book by motivational speaker and corporate trainer Robert Parker (who works with Duke University’s Corporate Education), called The Pit Crew Challenge. In the self-publishing field, I have extensive experience with assisting authors who are choosing to self-publish. These projects have included writing and editing a book on masterminding entitled The Elevator Effect with mastermind coaches Marcus Paton and Sona E. Van Der Hoop; a book entitled Life is Change – Growth Is Optional with award-winning business teacher and inspirational speaker Antonia Van Haeren; a book coaching and editing project with business entrepreneur and novelist James Harris for his exciting sci-fi book The Third Craft (published in early 2008); providing editing services to arts maven Jonathon Bancroft-Snell for his books on the legendary ceramic artists Walter Dexter and Ruth Gowdy McKinley; coaching the content of a dynamic and inspirational audio memoir by Christina Doyle (a 14-year survivor of one of the rarest forms of cancer); serving as content developer and editor for Kenneth D. Foster's newly revised bestselling book Ask and You Will Succeed (revised edition released by Wiley, May 2009); acting as development editor of a medical memoir with Chicago-based Dr. Jennifer Hasenyager Smith, MD; editor of the book, The Gift of Job Loss by Michael Froehls, PhD; editor of the book A Sense of the Sea, by Brian Whitehouse, PhD and numerous others. In addition, I am the author of hundreds of newspaper articles and feature magazine articles, covering a vast array of topics—including health care, environment, science, nature, the arts, popular culture, psychology, spirituality, and business. I have also been a teacher of English literature, the coordinator of media literacy projects, and a teacher in adult education. I am currently teaching a new creative writing workshop series entitled The Writer’s Eye-View. In the world of TV production as a scriptwriter and content producer for TV documentaries and educational video, some of my projects include a six-part documentary series, Dads Under Construction (about the process of men becoming first-time fathers); the full-length documentary, Circle of All Nations (about world-renowned native elder William Commanda, dubbed the “Dalai Lama of First Nations”); the feature documentary Autism – There’s Hope Out There (featuring ground-breaking medical research aimed at uncovering the cause of autism); the feature documentary Tomorrow Today, starring Sir Peter Ustinov, the Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall, Ervin Laszlo, and Arthur C. Clarke, with music by Peter Gabriel; a television series based on David Patchell-Evans’ book Living the Good Life; and the documentary Sea Without Tides (the story of the legendary fishermen of Lake Erie and the mystique of the Lake).

I have a passion for writting, mainly about ways to keep the home happy or animal care and tips, however, I do love a good challange. In 2007 after moving back to the states, (My exhusband was a MI Supply Sargent in the U.S Army for 3 years in Germany), I enrolled my self into college to become a veterinary technician. Shortly after begining my studdies, I landed a job as a veterinary assistant at a small counrty veterinary hospital in a small town. After 2 years of hard work, I got promoted and given the choice to be full time in the back or front office. Honestly I love cliet communication and the clients appreciated how I explained procedures and knowledgeable advice so I chose to work front office. My employment and loyality stayed with this hospital for 4 years , that is in till I descided to go out and experience another job opportunity in our wondeful government system. I became a tax examiner clerk for in the IRS. Honestly not what I expected. I only worked one season there withthe intentions of never going back down that road again. During my year of unemployment (8 months exactly) I invested some money and time into a program that was suppose to give me expierence in running a website and pull in some extrea cash for my family. I worked hard on it and yet i saw only $10 in my account through this system and never got to get it out since the min balance to with draw was $25. My website was mainly articles on traveling with pets and eventually turned into an advice site for moms on spending quality time with the kids and alone time with herhusband. I also had recipies that were fun for the kids and arts and crafst projects that can be made from our everyday house hold objects. It was time for me to take on a part time job to help bring in some money so I walked into a small animal hospital one day and was hired the next day. I learned quickly i needed to brush up on my skills but happy my restraint skills were still there. I left my day job as a fileclerk/ backup recertionist at the animal hospital to take care of my elderly great aunt who has dementia. Im only taking care of her for 30hrs a week so I have time to do research and write fun little articles and flyers about animal health to pass out at dog shows. Writting for me is more than putting words on a blank sheet of paper, its a way I can keep my mind active and express my self in my writting. It is important for us as human beings to learn new things so we exercise out minds with critical thinking skills we learned long ago in elementy school but push aside sometimes as adults. I can typ a few samples of articles or informative information if requested.
