As a student I have recently finished my IT and Art & Design course. I posses a broad range of key skills and knowledge; which are considered to be vital working within a business. I have experience working as an assistant manager and in sales. I am currently looking for work, which is compatible with the level of skill I have acquired. As my hobbies I enjoy to spend a lot of time at the gym, I like to keep fit and healthy to take on each day at my best performance. I enjoy visiting museums and expressing myself by creating art pieces, as well as going out and socialising with friends and meeting new people. I am extremely passionate about Art and Design especially the illustrative side of art. I am looking to pursue a career in art, specifically becoming a cartoonist or games design.

I am a university graduate (B Sc), resident in South Africa, and spent the largest portion ( 20 years) of my working life in the financial services industry. I gave that up in 2008, did the Cambridge University (CELTA) course in teaching English to foreign language speakers, and then spent a year (2009) at a language college in Maputo, Mozambique, teaching English to Portuguese speakers. Since then I've been occupied with setting up a business on the internet as well as an ongoing project in the greening environment. Both of these have yet to start delivering an adequate income, which is why I am offering my services in this forum. Although not formally trained, I have strong skills as a writer - or so I've been told by numerous business colleagues and friends. Over the last two years I did a lot of what's termed sentence re-writing for an internet-based business. I was initially selected by this business to join their pool of freelance writers based on the quality of my submission of a trial re-writing task. Unfortunately the work (and the income from it) is sporadic, so I cut back on my participation about a year ago and started teaching English over the internet to mainly French speakers - but I have just resigned in order to take a break from the regimentation for a while. I would prefer work which encompasses editing/proofreading and the correction of existing pieces of writing, with the focus on structure, grammar and spelling. These three, in my view, must be correctly done in order for any written communication to be comprehensible to the reader, in a clear, unambiguous manner. This is paramount if the communication is from a business concern, so that no doubt is introduced as to the absolute professionalism and capability of the business, And the asking rate? Well, because I'm new and without references, I've set it at $5 per hour.

I am a oddly, curiously and often inappropriately funny guy, who happens to be a lawyer, writer, editor and journalist. When I'm not writing legal briefs or appearing in court, I'm writing funny product descriptions for a naughtly clothing site, or doing medical editing for 4 overseas medical journals. My humor is infectious (catching, but treatable) and I have a warped sense of the big funny that is matched by few others. Make me part of your comedy team, or make me the sole participant in your comedy team, and I can guarantee you that we will sell a lot of hot dogs, and spend a good portion of time at the local ER, being treated for rib injuries for laughing so much. I have a undergraduate degree in English Literature, and a law degree, and a degree in making even boring people without expressions on their faces chuckle, and then roar. I can write for radio, for television, for newspapers, magazines, it's just crazy the breadth and width of my lunacy. You can purchase shares of this lunacy, for a limited time only, if you are one of the first 40 callers. Call now!
