For the past 25 + years my day job was as a Human Resources Manager/Officer. In my spare time I undertook photography work on a semi professional basis. I took voluntary early retirement in 2010 and saw VER as an opportunity to develop my skills within a photographic environment where my focus would be on either wedding photography, theatrical imagery or portraiture. I have developed work providing portfolios for local bands, thereby giving me a suitable and expanding collection of photographs to develop my portfolio. I am however particularly interested in increasing my involvement in producing and developing theatrical imagery. I hold a City & Guilds Distinction in Photography and was a member of the Royal Photographic Society, although my membership lapsed a few years ago. Academically I am a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), I hold an ONC and an HNC in Business Studies as well as usual “O” Level qualifications. For me photography was relegated to the back burner whilst my children were growing up. However I did manage to intermittently, do some commercial work in portraiture, glamour and wedding photography. I use a Canon EOS 550D with a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash. My main lenses are Canon EFS 18- 135 mm and Canon EFS 55- 250mm lenses. To view a limited example of my work please go to - Flickr - on welcome screen go to photosharing - in search box type – anthonyok you will then get a message saying “ couldn’t find anything matching your search” - click on people and then click on smiley face anthonyok. Kind regards Anthony

I've playing guitar and writting songs since I was 13 years of age. I used to work for Benton and Bowles ad agency and a talent agency. I have an advertising background and some of my songs were considered for jingles and madonna in the 90's. I wrote jingles for amf ski equipment and zest deoderant. I have a cd of my own kids songs that I've written and perform at children's partys as a clown. I use when I perform at kid's birthday partys as a clown.

Hi.. My name is Abby. I am a graphic designer for one big reason I love making a design that a customer knows they have in their minds come true. Figuring out a design is a challenge that I love facing. I have had a love for computersand art, and now I get to put them together. It's not been easy to reach this goal but I am glad I never gave up. Almost 10 years working towards completing this dream (as you will see on my resume). I started to think that maybe I was wrong. I wasn't at all wrong I know this is the right job for me. Designing is something I feel strongly about. I have learned the commonly used software - the Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, Flash, Muse, WordPress, Quark, Mac or IBM, and the Office software. I am the type of person that doesn't mind deadlines, multi-tasking, learning new software, or working with or without a team. I am strong minded when I think I am right, but I am not afraid to be wrong. Unfortunately I don't have much job experiences in the design world. My most recent project which is on my website http://www.abbysgraphics.com - the greeting card for the city of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I also spent 6mnths as a marketing intern for the City and County of Denver Parks and Rec Office. Where I was the only designer in thedepartment. It was tough but fun. Well that's it... I am currently a college English instructor. I have spent 18 years teaching English and English related content. As such, I have developed many skills in various types of writing. I am an expert at proof-reading and editing. I am also an expert in content development, word choice, and organization for various types of narrative and expository writing. On my own, I enjoy writing humorous anecdotes that are at least partially biographical. Many days I feel like my life could be a sit-com, except that it doesn't end after the 30 minute program is over. I would love to have an opportunity to demonstrate my writing skills on any number of topics.
