I've been writing for years, and am looking to be employed as a lyricist. Here are some samples of my writing. I write songs about things that I've experienced and others have experienced. Writing poetry and lyrics is my passion. I do not compose melodies, but would love to help you with lyrics or collaborate with someone to form a great song for you to sing. I'm 18 and listen to a lot of pop music, so I could definitely help you to write a pop song. Just One More Chance Have you ever had that moment When your heart just feels so broken And so much is unspoken So crushed you just start mopin’ And you thought that you were strong But you realize you’re so wrong And it seems like you can’t win Doesn’t matter where we’ve been. Chorus Why do you shut me out? What did I do wrong? Why are you leaving now After it’s been so long? Why do you ignore me? Why won’t you let me in? Have I become that boring? Will you give me one more chance? Will you give me one more chance? It’s like I’ve been rejected When I was once respected And now everything is changing And its myself that I start blaming But no matter where I go, As hard as I try to let go, I always see your face You’ll always have your place. I can’t help but wonder.... Chorus Why do you shut me out? What did I do wrong? Why are you leaving now After it’s been so long? Why do you ignore me? Why won’t you let me in? Have I become that boring? Will you give me one more chance? Will you give me one more chance? And with all these awkward moments I start to lose emotions I’ve become so numb I know what’s done is done. I guess that I was wrong This everlasting bond Is coming to an end. Though my love I will still send. But I’d still like to know.... Chorus Why do you shut me out? What did I do wrong? Why are you leaving now After it’s been so long? Why do you ignore me? Why won’t you let me in? Have I become that boring? Will you give me one more chance? Will you give me one more chance? Please. Just one more chance. Next song: Shadow You are my haunted shadow That follows me wherever I go, Leaving little footprints In the clear crystals of snow. As I try to run away, You lack to fall behind. How did I end up here? Can I simply press rewind? It seems like wherever I go I can’t escape my mind. I’m losing myself slowly. When its myself I must find. Oh, And as the sun sets At the end of the day, Maybe I can’t see you, But you always seem to stay. I wake up every morning And your message stays the same. No matter what I do. I’m disgusted with your game. It seems like wherever I go I can’t escape my mind. I’m losing myself slowly. When its myself that I must find. There are so many words That you make me hear And they make me crumble Even after all these years At times I feel I’m crazy, Like I’ve gone so insane, But I know it’s just you Playing your sick game. It seems like wherever I go I can’t escape my mind. I’m losing myself slowly. When its myself I must find. It’s myself that I will find. Just give me a little time. So shadow, I won’t look behind me. Stay as long as you please. Perhaps you will stop following me When you see my soul has peace. Next song: I’m Not Me When I’m Not With You You broke through my tall, concrete barriers. You doing so made my life much so scarier. I’d never been so completely open. I was always so quiet, always outspoken. There was something about that I liked. Now I’m grateful you’re in my life. A best friend is the gold in a mine, She’s the little sparkle in my eye. The whipped cream on the pie. I’ll love her past the day I die. She’s the bubbles in my spritzer, The colors in my eyeshadow glitter. There’s one thing I know that’s true. I’m not me when I’m not with you. Is it how I love when you call my phone? How you make me so I’m not alone. Is it how you keep my strong when I cry? And say then say that I have beautiful green eyes? You taught me to be myself and face my fears. I didn’t know who I was until you came here. Is it the summers that we weren’t together That made us want to stay close forever? When we are away for longer and longer, Our friendship grows stronger and stronger. You know my secrets I’d never tell a soul. You let me borrow you sweater when I’m cold. A best friend is the gold in a mine, She’s the little sparkle in my eye. The whipped cream on the pie. I’ll love her past the day I die. She’s the bubbles in my spritzer, The colors in my eyeshadow glitter. There’s one thing I know that’s true. I’m not me when I’m not with you (repeat) It’s true. I’m not me when I’m not with you.

Artist Statement I am an artist because as an artist I have the freedom to create. Creating things is fascinating to me. It involves bringing something into existence that is original, and I like that by producing something original I am contributing to the progression of thoughts and ideas. I find it interesting that each of my creations carry a very personal element, an extension of myself; and that these extensions can be where I am not, and therefore will continue on longer than I will. I also revel in the sensory responses I experience when painting, drawing, sculpting or printmaking. I enjoy the physical movements, the relationships between colours and the tactile experiences that come with textures. My work bears evidence of the joy that I have when creating it. I explore and express the human experience, experiment with the properties of materials and natural laws, as well as bringing new life and purpose to discarded materials.
