Experienced blogger and copywriter. I write about IT, phone apps, public speaking, beating burnout, the spatial industry, leadership coaching to name a few. My excellent research skills and broad general knowledge enable me to do this successfully. I am also adept at recognising and replicating my client's "voice", ensuring their message will always sound like them - unless of course they actually wish to promote a different image! For over two decades I had a successful career in Information Technology, a very competitive industry requiring effective communication. I have also been fundraising for a national not-for profit organisation; project manager at the State Library of Western Australia; and a librarian. My credibility has been established through sales, marketing, customer service and management roles This experience has given me a broad business perspective with intimate knowledge of key areas. Writing press releases, marketing collateral, training manuals, business proposals and in excess of three hundred tender submissions has developed my writing skills and an understanding of what works and what doesn’t.

Hi! I am not going to paste a resume, because I am a full-time software sales rep and have been a sales rep for several years now and that is irrelevant to my "description," because it's boring and sucks. I am branching out for the first time on this site as a first step in pursuing what I've been told by many and believe myself to be a much more fulfilling and suiting career path...the art of comedy writing. I have held several jobs since graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of Maryland, but what I believe to be the most satisfying and memorable aspect of each is the ability to bring enjoyment and comic-relief to what is otherwise a stressful and grinding existence. I have always been told, from a young age, that I have a knack for writing, whether it be a short story as a youngin', a more involved essay in my college years, or just forwarding a corporate email with my own "edits" to a chain of friends/colleagues for their personal enjoyment. Basically, I'm trying to find an outlet to channel my innermost interest and passion, which is entertaining others through my ability to reach them on an emotional level....humor.

Laura Bushinski's love for illustration stems from her love of storytelling. She grew up surrounded by neighbors and loved ones who would weave magic with words and pictures, enchanting Laura with tales of their ancestors and folklore from their old country. After receiving a certificate in Commercial Art from the CTC of Lackawanna County in high school, Laura went on to receive her AFA in Art, from Keystone College, followed by her BFA in Illustration from Moore College of Art & Design where she also graduated summa *** laude. Her work has been published by Spider Magazine and has been featured in the Philadelphia Sketch Club's Phillustration show. Romantic, detailed imagery, fairy tales, and folklore is where her heart and pencil is happiest. She draws inspiration from nature, history, world cultures, and her favorite artists; Mucha, Waterhouse, Rackham, and the Pre-Raphelites to name a few. Laura is also a tea-fanatic, and can often be found brewing a cup or two while re-reading Jane Eyre or The Secret Garden on her kindle.
