Hi ! Iam a freelance illustrator/artist from Newcastle upon Tyne, North east England, United Kingdom. My main passion is nature and really anything that flys walks and crawls ! Since childhood I have loved natural history this forming the basis for my "everyday inspiration". I enjoy working in a variety of mediums and styles, but currently have been concentrating on black and white pen work, along with more subtle watercolour painting. Currently I have been creating "circular" pen and ink images about the size of a CD, with typical subject matter including trees, birds, deer and a variety of other flora and fauna. Artists that inspire me include Aubrey Beardsley, Rembrandt, Turner, Girtin, Friedrich and the Polish illustrator Jan Pienkowski. I also recently completed a series of Christmas greetings cards with little mice and rabbits in various guises. Photography is also a genre Iam becoming increasingly interested in my favourite subjects being landscapes, nature and urban environments.

A professional writer who prides herself on making the complex simple and easy to understand, I love to write! I think it is important to lose the writing so the message is clear and effective - that means using Plain English and keeping it as short as appropriate and as interesting as possible. Running my own writing business, I have written hundreds of blog posts and articles, numerous reports and annual reports, countless web pages, media releases, manuals and newsletters. I have also edited books, web content and blog posts, as well as offering advice on how online tools and sites can communicate a message more clearly. My passions are reading and writing, my professional writing & editing studies were just icing on the cake really, and I love spending my days writing and helping others convey their message.
