I was a student editor for the Pacific Review literary journal at California State University, San Bernardino. I am a great candidate for my field because I am very passionate about my writing that will help my audiences gain a different perspective on certain subjects that can get them to think and how they should approach it. But also because I put a lot of effort into providing great quality, informative, and creative ways that can intrigue readers into wanting to know more. Through my extracurricular activities with my Catholic Newman Club, not only do I participate in weekly campus masses, but I have volunteered in Bishop Barnes' annual dinners for 2016 and 2017, and special events like the Faith Formation Conference on September 2016 at my school where I direct guests (both English and Spanish) where their workshops are being held. I have a lot of experience serving as an Extraordinary Minister where I give the wine and occasionally read the universal prayers, psalms, and liturgy readings. By being part of the Pacific Review, I read over a hundred submissions where I critiqued poetry and fiction on its strengths and weaknesses through Submittable. In addition, I learned how to use InDesign to create front and back covers of a book as well as the page look for a poem or story. I also gained public speaking skills because of my poetry readings in our open mic & CSUSB Meeting of the Minds Symposium. I have a poem published in the Pacific Review Issue 35 on June 14th, 2017, and self-published a poetry book called "29" available on Amazon.

Following an educational 5 year hiatus, intent upon introspection; maturation and perspicacity, I recently re-enrolled within a college curriculum. Aspirant upon pursuing endeavors within the creative arts community, the architectural/interior design career, minoring in business marketing; proved eminently preferential. Prior to this conceptual delineation, I immersed myself into multifarious activities, disregarding; difficulty, aptitude or comprehension. Frequently delving into foreign, aspects through edification; defined who I currently am. Descending from a long line of successful inventors; engineers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs; I consider myself gifted with a potpourri of innovative skills.

I have been drawing, painting and photographing things my entire life. Always a skilled illustrator, in college I studied with Herb Jackson who introduced me to action painting and abstract imagery. That exposure was instrumental in changing my thinking about imagery from the purely literal to a more conceptual approach. It has informed my artistic vision ever since. As life moved forward I switched my artistic endeavors almost entirely to photography until several years ago when I discovered Corel Painter and began to experiment with digital painting. The images presented in the digital Painting Gallery are the product of that work. I have been working as a professional photographer for nearly twenty years and have enjoyed rediscovering painting and drawing combining the latest digital tools with analog techniques.
