Hello All! I figured this would be a fabulous medium to market my artistic skills in several areas, to get my acting and fine arts abilities out there for people in need and to explore ways to follow my own passions. :) My chosen career is an Art and Drama Teacher (ages 4-adult). I have a background in Musical Theatre and have directed many productions in various locations (in schools and at camps). Furthermore, I have a background in Singing and Voice-Over acting having been trained in both Los Angeles, California and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have a voice-over demo to provide if needed! I am a published Children's Book Illustrator for two different books and have my own children's book (written and illustrated) currently being printed!! :D Exciting times -- especially when I can expand my skills and styles for even more writers who require an illustrator in love with colour, imagination, and creativity! I am qualified as a Visual Arts Specialist, have an Associates in Arts Degree (Liberal Arts Honours); a Bachelor of Education (OCT); a Montessori Teachers Diploma/Qualification and a Bachelor of Fine Art with Specialized Honours in Studio Art. I absolutely love painting...it is tremendously therapeutic when the busy-ness of life sets in. I run my own little business called "A Touch of Colour" selling my art as useful products (mugs, posters, coasters, prints, pens, notebooks, tote bags, etc). Finally, I am a Certified Therapeutic Arts Life Coach and have several courses under my belt in using Art as Therapy for those who may benefit from creative expression strategies and tasks to work through challenging situations in a mindful and healthy way (note: I am not a qualified Art Therapist). Feel free to explore my profile and contact me if anything peaks your artistic interest! Thank you for stopping by! :D

I went to community college in 2005 and majored in English because grammar, literature, and reading have always been some of my strong suits. I've had what you can call "writer's block" since I dropped out in 2007 but I am now ready to further pursue my passion of the art and gain an income in doing so if possible. Also I am returning to school either fall 2011 or spring 2012 semester. A writer is the one thing I can say I have always been. And to me it truly is a timeless art. I would love to use this site and more to build a resume. Everyone starts somewhere.
