I am originally from Tennessee. The beautiful Smokey Mountains has inspired me naturally in many ways from the age of five. I have been actively seeking artistic ways to express myself in different mediums from sketching, painting landscapes, abstracts, and graphics to web design. I moved from Tennessee to Atlanta Georgia in 1989 to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta where I was trained in visual communications and graduated with honors in 1991. Meeting my now husband in CR Iowa, I moved to Iowa to explore avenues in the constantly growing city of Cedar Rapids. I am inspired by nature and the play of light and color in garden settings. My specialty is acrylic paintings that have a whimsical feel to them with bright colors and deal mostly with the underwater theater of water gardens. My koi fish have quite the green thumb and through posing, create beautiful gardens. Most of my paintings are created on vintage cabinet facings which make an interesting built in frame. I have completed many works from numerous paintings including murals, to completing a set of six commissioned paintings for the Wiederspan Gallery in Cedar Rapids Iowa, also 6 commissioned paintings for the Cindy Saadeh Fine Art Gallery in Kingsport Tennessee, as well as The Art and Soul gallery in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.

We have been established since early 2009, working to a large number of briefs. We have worked with a vast array of clients, a few of which include the ITV, Cineworld, NHS (Open Road), The British Army, Essex Fire Service, Essex University, Dalebrook Display Solutions, Jägermeister and Colchester Institute: School of Art, Design and Media. We approach our briefs in a different and refreshing way. Our work is accessible and lighthearted, as well as informative and intuitive. We specialise in illustration, and are proficient in all aspects of design including typography (hand drawn, illustrative, type-setting), web design rebranding, promotional material and more. We believe a sense of humour is key to design and that making a target audience smile will connect with them on a higher level. Our hobbies include reading, making and listening to music, swing dancing, skateboarding and charity shopping. Our biggest influence is the 1960’s; the music, films, fashion and most importantly the graphic design and illustration from that era. We are in love with pastel colours, paper cut outs, hand drawn typography and simple illustration work, as well as small seaside towns, Americana and romantic movies.
