I left jolly old England for Melbourne, in 2005. As a part-time professional writing student, I try to live by the wise words of fellow countryman, Michael Caine: 'make like a duck... remain calm on the surface, but paddle like hell underneath.' Best quack on with it, then. Education & Training: • July 2010 (still completing): Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing, Box Hill TAFE • June 2010 (short course): The Creative Writer, Box Hill TAFE • Feb 2008 - Feb 2010 (online course): Certificate of Creative Writing, Cengage Education, NSW • 2003 - 2005: A level Certificates for Drama and English Literature and Language, Sixth-form College: Wilmington Hall School (England)

I have always been a daydreamer and I can't express how important this becomes as a screenwriter, song writer, and fine artist. If you can paint a truly great picture, scene, or story in you mind and can get that to play out in other people's minds through your words, then you've got a real money making machine. This holds true with song writing, screenwriting, poetry, etc. Fine art has a few different twists however. People's interpretation carries a lot of latitude. Daydreaming is exactly what I perfected whenever I was overcome with boredom in gradeschool. As time went by, my scribbles in the margins of my notebooks became crude surrealisms and when it was time to go to college I chose art for my major. Although I learned a lot about process and politics while getting my BFA, I really gained most of my "true skills" indirectly and outside of any structured learning system. Several years after graduating I gave up art completely and did not give it another thought for nearly twenty years. I was never able to please anyone else with my art and I was still terrified of color. I spent those years producing, directing, and working as a nonlinear editor in the television industry. Once I became re-inspired I jumped back into art incorporating numerous current technologies and developing new techniques. At this time I possess a huge body of work. I invite you to partake in a preview and truly hope that you are ispired in some way. Song writing and screenwriting come very naturally to me as I have been around these industries for nearly thirty years. If you have an idea that needs to become a reality let me know. It doesn't take an eternity to spot a good match. My artistic influences are vast and exquisitely dependant on the naturally occuring shapes, motions, and sounds in nature. Slow them all down just a bit and I am elated. When It comes to fine artists who have passed I would have to go with Degas, Bouguereau, Parrish, Dean, Frazetta, Sargent, and of course, Dali. It's important to keep in mind however, that so many of my influences and motivations are not simply artists. I am truly inspired as I believe many people are, by instances that are experienced in life, where images an scenes originate. I've opted over the years to take a more positive angle on my work. This tends to manifest in very realistic ways. It's part of the human condition. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, nearly 30 years of television & film production, and I'm a certified Steadicam operator/consultant.

I have created and submitted “on spec” writing assignments. Past Literary Work: Submitted Poetic Pieces for my College Newspaper: The Fisk Herald, while a student attending Fisk University. Piece written and published by the University, I titled: “Tis Nature”. A Sample Article I wrote for: 2 AM Traffic Soar to New Heights In Career Opportunities I enjoy watching gymnasts, aerialists and professional tumblers take on the air in front of them in literal leaps and bounds. Just the air and opportunity in front of them as they lunge forward and they execute a move, flip, spin, whip, drop and drip. To have that level of concentration and maintain a laser-like focus that is uncompromising, mixed with discipline and heavy training makes for the champion that they become. Well, it is the same principle in life. I like to use gymnastics as a metaphor for pursing your passion and “soaring to new heights” in your chosen career path. The sky is the limit and you can elevate to a new level in your career opportunities. But, it requires that discipline and heavy training. Therefore, move to make a change, flip the script and become financially empowered, whip yourself into shape, mentally, emotionally and physically, drop the bad habits and drip informative content into your brain through exposure to new things. Additional samples of previously, written, material available upon request.

I have been using computers for almost 12 years and I have gained an excellent knowledge in various areas of design, computers and the internet. I am very passionate about the industry I am involved with and am proud to say that I chose Graphic Design as as career choice. So I took the venture into various colleges (The Art Institute of Dallas, Atlanta, and Houston. Then on to Tyler Junior College, Chatt State, Tyler Junior College again, and finally North Lake College in Irving, Texas. Here is where I learned to tap into my creative fullbrings, unleashing my color crazy noodle on the world. I can honestly say that if it weren't for the North Lake staff, I wouldn't had made it this far in design. Those two alone challenged me arrogant imagination. That's when I realized I knew nothing about the real world of design. A couple of my major strengths are my attention to detail and adaptability. This adaptability can also be seen in my design work where I am able handle any task I'm given, design, web, and print. I hope you dig the work. Drop me a line if you have any comments or to just hire me.
