For the past 25 + years my day job was as a Human Resources Manager/Officer. In my spare time I undertook photography work on a semi professional basis. I took voluntary early retirement in 2010 and saw VER as an opportunity to develop my skills within a photographic environment where my focus would be on either wedding photography, theatrical imagery or portraiture. I have developed work providing portfolios for local bands, thereby giving me a suitable and expanding collection of photographs to develop my portfolio. I am however particularly interested in increasing my involvement in producing and developing theatrical imagery. I hold a City & Guilds Distinction in Photography and was a member of the Royal Photographic Society, although my membership lapsed a few years ago. Academically I am a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), I hold an ONC and an HNC in Business Studies as well as usual “O” Level qualifications. For me photography was relegated to the back burner whilst my children were growing up. However I did manage to intermittently, do some commercial work in portraiture, glamour and wedding photography. I use a Canon EOS 550D with a Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash. My main lenses are Canon EFS 18- 135 mm and Canon EFS 55- 250mm lenses.
