A native New Yorker, I grew up in an environment where artistic talents were able to develope from a very early age. Received artistic training at the prestigious Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts. Began working professionally at "Andrew Kolb & Son" an art gallery located at 30th Street and Madison Avenue where I reproduced famous paintings. During this time, most of this work was done by brush in oils or acrylics on canvas in the traditional manner. After this tenure with the gallery, I went on to work at the trendy, "Unique's Clothing Warehouse" then located on Broadway and Waverly in the Village with four other artists. While there I mastered the use of the airbrush and made a transition in style and technique from fine art to illustration. I continued airbrushing thereafter and in 1993 I moved to Puerto Rico where I opened my own airbrushing business. Five years later I returned to New York with the goal of working as a freelance illustrator. In order to keep up with with the evolution of the business, I again matriculated at the School of Visual Arts computer arts program. Afterwards, in 2001, I found a job in the animation industry working as a background artist for a popular cartoon series with Cartoon Network with a one year contract and then continued freelancing.
