Writing about subjects that matter most to me is where my strengths lie; think health, environment and “alternative” medicine, including translation into comprehensive layman terms to inform a broader readership. On the flip-side, I also enjoy writing informational articles on business, finance and legal matters. I’m forever a student it seems, possessing little in terms of fancy...

I am currently a web/software developer working at Montana State University on a geological database application. For the past year and a half I have worked to develop an extensive application that allows geologists to explore the overall data set in different ways. I developed a scatter plot chart system that allows users to chart different data sets for comparison and then export that chart as either a PDF or Excel spreadsheet. In conjunction with this system I integrated the 140,000 document set into a Google Search Box creating a parser to change the look and url's of the returned results. The search system was integrated with the chart system to allow users to jump from a specific data point to search results related to that data point. Security is a top priority since the data is proprietary and needs to be protected. We created extensive user permissions that allows users to access only particular portions of the entire data set depending on their user level. The entire system has been developed in PHP, MySQL, SQL, Postgres, Python, Javascript, R and C#. If you would like to preview the web application feel free to contact me and I'll get you the URL and any other information you are looking for.

Hotel Housekeeping Consultant - English/Spanish I own & produce the largest and only free Hotel Housekeeping site. I've grown from inexperienced small town guy waiting on tables to a seasoned Director of Housekeeping for a full service hotel. Over the years I've worked in small hotels, 93-160 rooms, large hotels up to 407 rooms, Ski Resorts, and Beach Resorts so I've been around the block. I've learned many things from interviewing, hiring, training, terminating and everything in between. The information in this area is to help you with difficult decisions, HR advice so you don't get yourself in trouble without knowing, and help when you don't have anywhere to turn. With over 10 years of managerial experience, I'll be honest most of those years I've done some things I shouldn't have because I was led in the wrong direction or didn't know what I was doing. Life tends to teach lessons whether we want it to or not, and so I've learned and still learning and growing, but I hope to help you from making the same mistakes I did. But this isn't just about me, I'm here for you so let me know what you need, so I can help you save more, spend less, and help you accomplish your goals faster.
