My name is Dan Donaldson, a kick *** Motion Designer from Phialdelphia, PA. I strive for the best in my work and I don't stop until I reach perfection. Dedicated, energetic, and detail oriented are just some of the words I use to describe myself. Here is a little info to help you get a better understanding of my work and me. Since I graduated college in 2012, I have had the privilege to work at or for several different companies that each utilized a different skill in my repertoire. I've worked as a visual effects artist for a feature film at Brolik Productions and in the fast paced environment of television at NBC Sports. I also started a motion graphics company with two of my college friends called Three Piece Suit Productions. We have done work for companies such as Brolik, Lady White Entertainment, and MM Agency for clients such as AOL, Monster Math Club, Reality Sports Online, and a national bank (Curse those NDAs!) My work is done in After Effects blended with assets made in Illustrator or Photoshop. I am eager to work on this project with you. Creating short, thought provoking, and entertaining animations is my bread and butter. I've included a link to my demoreel in this cover letter. After receiving my B.S. in English, I dropped the certificate, stumbled, and found myself at my local library. Everything seemed to begin that particular day. On that innocent Sunday afternoon, I opened the library doors and found myself eye to eye with what I would later consider ---the greatest thinkers of all time! I picked up, “Notes from Underground”, or was it, “Nausea”, by Jean Paul Sartre, nonetheless, they were all considered “The Classics”. As I tuned the pages, it became fascination and bewilderment. I was in love with these stories and always in love with the hero of these novels. As I stumbled with more regularity into my local library, my ambitions changed, or evolved, from wanting to be a ‘hero in a novel’, to wanting to be able to write similar great stories. Today, I've been writing engaging stories for years. Thank you.
