Because double spacing is prohibited on this website, the actual formatting of the paper was not shown.) http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1288197/jesus_and_mohammed_a_comparison.html?cat=34 (This article was based on comparing and contrasting Jesus and Mohammed. Again, this site did not accommodate double spacing. Hence, the actual APA formatting was not present.) http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1257046/practices_manual_for_supervisors.html?cat=4 (I actually created this manual for supervisors. Because I had copied and pasted the information onto this site, the writing style was somewhat lost. I do have all of the original works with the proper formatting on my computer for further clarification.) http://amazingbooksandmore.ecrater.com/ (This is one of my most recent works. I had edited this book for the author. I am also in the process of editing another book for another author.) References are available upon request.

Qualifications PhD, English Literature (2004-2010, awarded Nov. 2010) University of Exeter, United Kingdom Master of Arts, English (awarded 2003) Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Arts, English/Sociology (Double Major, awarded 2002) Bishop’s University, Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada Professional Experience Teaching Assistant 2004-2006 The University of Exeter, Devon, UK As a teaching assistant in Exeter’s Department of English I successfully planned and taught seminars in English literature at the undergraduate level on the first-year module Past & Present 1. I completed the first phase of training in year one of PhD studies which involved becoming acquainted with seminar moderation and grading on the module, followed by the second phase in year two of my studies which consisted of running the fourteen-week seminar on my own. I held office hours weekly in order to address students’ individual concerns with writing, course load and assignments, and assisted in proof-reading, along with the required duties of evaluating and grading undergraduate work. Awards In Autumn 2004 I was awarded the prestigious Renaissance Scholarship by the University of Exeter on the basis of the potential recognized in my application for making a positive contribution to the University of Exeter’s rising status as one of the UK’s premier research institutions (ranked 15th in the UK for research out of 159 higher education institutions according the 2008 RAE rating, and recently scored 9th in The Times league table). The scholarship guaranteed both full funding for PhD studies and a position in the teaching assistantship programme. Extracurricular Achievements One of my most exciting personal achievements outside of academia was having, in 2008, a short story entitled “The Deer Head” published in Succour: The New Fiction, Poetry and Art, ed. Anthony Banks, Spring/Summer 2008 (16-18). URL: http://www.succour.org Employment History Proofreader, Editor and Writer (Freelance/Private) Sept. 2010-Present -- Providing editing, proofreading and writing consultation for clients’ academic, creative and corporate writing -- Writing and publishing web content/articles on a freelance basis (e.g. ehow.com, healthmad.com, gomestic.com) Inventory Manager Nov. 2009-Aug. 2010 Joshua Perets Group Inc. -- Team lead for shipping personnel at Company’s head office -- Maintaining inventory levels at the head office and all stores necessary to support sales -- Produced Forecasts based on strategic planning and historical sales -- Managing all incoming and outgoing stock in company’s head office and databases -- Managed logistic activity with freight companies to ensure all cargo is dispatched in the quickest and most cost effective manner -- Producing shipping manifests, labels, invoices and reports Occupancy Survey Programme Administrator 2007-2008 Southwest Tourism, Exeter, Devon, UK +44 (0)1392 445112 Duties and responsibilities included: -- Organizing occupancy survey mail out/mail-merge for holiday accommodations (B&Bs, hotels, campgrounds, etc.) -- Organizing survey results through data system for submission to UK federal government -- Fielding queries and addressing concerns of survey participants -- Awarding prizes to participants In addition to learning and grappling with often complex data systems, working at the tourism board offered a great opportunity to be a part of a research institution outside of the university, one with specific business objectives to meet and in which there was expectation to perform – with little margin of error – under the pressure of strict deadlines. Hey Everybody! My name is Dan and I have a BA in Writing/Journalism from Mount Union College (ever hear of it? of course not). Anyways, I have a lot of passion for writing and I can do all different types just for you! I am eager and ready to help out with all kinds of editorial, so don't hesitate to contact me. I graduated from college this past May and moved to Orlando to start my career. Prior to graduating I completed an internship in Sydney, Australia, where I worked for a travel magazine. This internship taught me quite a lot and I got a good deal of writing published. I did every type of story, including travel features, music news, interviews, world news, and celebrity gossip. I know how to maintain a professional tone in my writing, but I can also write informally and keep the attention of the reader. The point I'm trying to make is that I can adapt to almost any style and I know I can produce the kind of content you're looking for. Admittedly I'm kind of new to this website and the professional world, so I'm still working on building a portfolio of my work, but you will find it on here very soon. In the meantime, feel free to check out my blog, which should be posted somewhere next to my picture over there. Be warned that you wont find the most "professional" content on there, but you'll be able to see that my spelling, sentence structure, and grammatical flow is very much intact. Are you beyond impressed with my qualifications?! No? Well I hope you're at least mildly impressed then. Update: I'm still working on bringing you more content, but here are the links to some interviews I've done. http://bbmlive.com/Celebrity-Interviews/revolutionary-thinking.html http://bbmlive.com/Celebrity-Interviews/relli-laughs.html http://bbmlive.com/Celebrity-Interviews/shanes-world.html?option=com_content&Itemid=22&catid=10&id=900&lang=en&view=article&fontstyle=f-larger
