I have always been a daydreamer and I can't express how important this becomes as a screenwriter, song writer, and fine artist. If you can paint a truly great picture, scene, or story in you mind and can get that to play out in other people's minds through your words, then you've got a real money making machine. This holds true with song writing, screenwriting, poetry, etc. Fine art has a few different twists however. People's interpretation carries a lot of latitude. Daydreaming is exactly what I perfected whenever I was overcome with boredom in gradeschool. As time went by, my scribbles in the margins of my notebooks became crude surrealisms and when it was time to go to college I chose art for my major. Although I learned a lot about process and politics while getting my BFA, I really gained most of my "true skills" indirectly and outside of any structured learning system. Several years after graduating I gave up art completely and did not give it another thought for nearly twenty years. I was never able to please anyone else with my art and I was still terrified of color. I spent those years producing, directing, and working as a nonlinear editor in the television industry. Once I became re-inspired I jumped back into art incorporating numerous current technologies and developing new techniques. At this time I possess a huge body of work. I invite you to partake in a preview and truly hope that you are ispired in some way. Song writing and screenwriting come very naturally to me as I have been around these industries for nearly thirty years. If you have an idea that needs to become a reality let me know. It doesn't take an eternity to spot a good match. My artistic influences are vast and exquisitely dependant on the naturally occuring shapes, motions, and sounds in nature. Slow them all down just a bit and I am elated. When It comes to fine artists who have passed I would have to go with Degas, Bouguereau, Parrish, Dean, Frazetta, Sargent, and of course, Dali. It's important to keep in mind however, that so many of my influences and motivations are not simply artists. I am truly inspired as I believe many people are, by instances that are experienced in life, where images an scenes originate. I've opted over the years to take a more positive angle on my work. This tends to manifest in very realistic ways. It's part of the human condition. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art, nearly 30 years of television & film production, and I'm a certified Steadicam operator/consultant.
