If you only need a part-time bookkeeper for your business and don’t wish to add this position to your staff, outsourcing this part time need is an excellent alternative. My goal is to remove the hassles you face when dealing with the never-ending flow of bookkeeping details by providing a cost effective alternative to maintaining an in-house bookkeeper. I have a degree in Accounting and Business Management (1997); I also have a Masters in Social Work (2006). I am a Certified Bookkeeper, meaning that I've sat for several exams covering all aspects of bookkeeping - the only thing I don't do is end of the year taxes, but I will work closely with your CPA to make sure that everything you need for your accurate tax returns are in order. I am certified to handle the books of companies with up to 100 employees, though I have worked with companies that have over 100 employees. I am a member in good standing of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (www.aipb.org); certification is through AIPB. In addition to my licensure and certifications, I am also insured. I have been a certified QuickBooks user (again, more exams) since 1997, updating my expertise with each new edition - I'm currently certified through the 2012 version, and proficient in both the Mac and all PC editions.

I've always had writing on my mind. When I was a little girl, I would make up my own stories about places I wanted to visit or about the people in my neighborhood. I was raised as an only child, but I don't remember ever feeling lonely. My imagination was my company. As many people know, dreams easily get put on the back burner. It is easy to get caught up in the, "boy meets girl", "boy marries girl", etc... You find your world consumed with school plays, Girl Scout meetings, and dance classes. I'm going to be 47 on my next birthday and time doesn't seem to be slowing down. I, sadly, lost my wonderful husband last year. My daughters are grown and out of the house. I think it is finally my time. I've had numerous jobs over the years. I've worked in the nursing field, sold real estate, worked in an abuse shelter, and have even been your neighborhood Avon lady. I went back to college and recently earned my degree. I'm happily avoiding the "empty nest" syndrome. No matter what I've done, I always, mentally, come back to writing. Now I have time to invest in perfecting my prose.
