I started art back when I first learned how to draw my first shapes and characters in elementary school. My imagination and skills blossomed bringing me to the decision in 2004 to attend the Art institute of Pittsburgh to undergo a possible career in the video game industry. I have undergone many classes and self teachings to improve my abilities as an artist. I have the abilities to work in both 2d and 3d. Anything from simple pen and paper sketches to 3d model renderings in 3d Studio Max. I have applied my skills to various forms of art work and am always up for a challenge especially if the challenge improves upon my abilities as an artist. PC Program knowledge: 3d Studio Max Valve's Hammer engine (Level Design) Unreal Engine (Level Design) Photoshop CS5 Flash After Affects Art skills: Pen/Pencil and Paper art Characters (cartoon, fantasy, sci-fi) Environment Art Animation Product Design (Busi. cards, t-shirt, poster) Black/White Illustration Color Illustration

I am an up & coming artist who is self taught in the ways of comic book drawing. My style is very simple, and to the point, learned from studying artists like Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Bruce Timm and the like. I have not gone to any art schools, as i myself do no believe in them. The only true way to learn is by sitting comfortably at your own home, and learning from what you wish to be. In my case comic books. For examples of my artwork please refer to my portfolio, or simply message me for examples. Also you may look at my online portfolio here: https://ericfaries.carbonmade.com/

While I have not worked in the transcription industry professionally before, I have been training myself for typing speed and accuracy, as well as transcribing audio and subtitling video. In my previous employment, I have 5+ years experience in Web Development, which has given me a reasonably good typing speed. I have been writing short stories and non-fiction articles for years, and so have an eye for grammar and spelling. I have recently been transcribing one of my favourite podcasts on the subject of writing genre fiction. You can see my work here: http://www.second-look.info/Transcripts/Writing%20Excuses/S03E14.html I am hoping to move careers to have a more writing-focussed vocation, steering slowly towards a career in writing. So if you wish to test me in this regard, I am willing to do a little work for free so you can better determine my skills in this regard. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Tom.

I'm not an Artist. Apparently I can't seem to draw a straight line. I find it extremely difficult to use paper as a medium because for many moons of cave painting using red ochre and bat guano, I've ruined my eye sight. Shooping the whoop the has left my hand decryped and calloused. Thank you for your time.
