A dedicated martial artist and “spiritual seeker” the majority of his life, author Shawn K. Carpenter, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the martial arts, personal growth, First Nations ceremonies and spiritual development arenas to play every time he puts pen to paper. Whether he is teaching, involved in ceremony or simply being a father and husband, Shawn continually leads by example, demonstrating the essential balance of a true warrior spirit! Attaining his black belt at twelve, and opening his first Martial Arts program at the tender age of fourteen, Carpenter has been blessed with having helped many people shape and even re-shape their lives, despite sometimes seemingly overwhelming odds. He has also been fortunate to put into practice all the theories and principles that he espouses in his own life, especially in over a decade’s marriage to his beautiful wife, Keli and in helping to parent their three incredible children. The couple’s combined commitment to honouring the natural spirit within their children has lead them to homeschooling for many years and having contributed stories published in Doreen Virtue’s book, “Crystal Children.” Shawn also holds a fine arts degree and spent years alongside his wife painting murals, many of which were donations to shelters or retirement homes. Complimenting his martial arts training, Carpenter has been on a "spiritual path" as long as he can remember, having studied many different authors from Neale Donald Walsch and Deepak Chopra to Eckhart Tolle and Adyashanti. He has participated in numerous spirituality/healing ceremonies and workshops, including a 10 month long, intensive spiritual leadership program run by Canadian workshop leader, Henri McKinnon. Alongside his spiritual study, and in honour of his First Nation’s heritage (Cree/Métis), he continues to uphold ancient ceremonies; Shawn is an experienced Sundancer and sacred pipe carrier. Having undergone dramatic personal transformation and realization, himself, Shawn is dedicated to assisting others on their unique journey through life, particularly by what is known as the “way of the warrior.” Shawn has published many newspaper and magazine articles on martial arts, as well as a weekly email to his current martial arts student base called “message of the week” based on the honour, courage and integrity of living authentically. Shawn K. Carpenter strives to embody the true spirit of the warrior, in turn honouring each and every person whose life he touches, as an expression of our Divine Oneness.

I have been drawing for my own personal enjoyment for about fifteen years and use a variety of different mediums including pencil, charcoal, pastels, and colored pencils. People who have viewed my work such as my portraits, landscapes, or creative art, tell me the look, precise detail, and yes the "feel" of it jumps out at you and you really can't help but stare in amazement time and time again. My father, in winter time, likes to take a break from work at home, to reflect on the drawing of Hilton Head Island's famous golf course (the 18th) and treasures the time he spent there. There is a ball from a very different and unique perspective shown in the rough which makes it very realistic for him. )http://www.back2thedrawingboard.weebly.com/creative-art.html) My Mom, will stare in rememberance at a portrait I did of our beloved dog Bailey who passed away this year.(http://www.back2thedrawingboard.weebly.com/portraits.html) I have loved the Arts for as long as I can remember and consider myself so incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to work with people to help them portray their loved ones and creative ideas onto paper. Collaborating with people is a real joy for me. I feel and am told that I create real treasures, forever keepsakes, and remembrances in a variety of unique perspectives with exquisite detail and craft”women”ship.

I am a Freelance Writer looking for employment. I will accept a wide range of jobs, whether it be for a small personal project, all the way to something like writing a comic, script, story, character development, etc. I will write almost anything you need, whether it be character development for something, a story for one piece in a project, to a full out plot and successive story line. I will write almost any kind of fiction, and fiction is what I am used to writing. Anything from mystery to Sci-Fi, fantasy, fringe fiction or a mix of them all. You need dialogue? I can do that too. I also do write music and poetry as well. If you need a poem for any reason, or maybe even for a special someone or just a friend or family member, I can piece something together for you. If you can make music, but don't know the words to express what you are trying to get across, I can help there too. If you really want, I can also compose music itself for you. I have many interests and like to get to know a bit about my employers, since it better helps me to make something that not only the world will enjoy, but also you can appreciate. I will give you time, if you see fit to give me a job. I am ready to go when you are.

STUDIES THE DIVISIVE LINE BETWEEN COMMERCIAL AND FINE ART Recently, I ran into a situation which makes me question why there is a line between commercial and fine art and if there could be a way to blend the two together taking advantages from both fields and creating a style which successfully combines both. I would like to explore and study into this divisive line and if it can be transcended into something new. THE INTEGRATION OF PROCESSES AND TECHNIQUES BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT FIELDS OF ART Within the art field, many individuals seem to stay to their field rather than pulling from another and integrating into theirs, ultimately making their work stronger in the long run. I've noticed this trend while in college so I would like to learn as much from each field then combine techniques in under to create something different from the normal. The study will also reflect in future works. ABOUT US Hello! My name is LyAnne Peacock and I am currently attending Auburn University of Montgomery. At the moment, I am taking graphic design, but I am considering a dual major in Photography. I am still undecided of what I will be doing once I graduate. If you are interested in working with me on a project, commission, or job opportunity, please email me at jpeacoc4@aum.edu. Currently accepted work helps to pay for tuition, supplies, showcases/exhibits, and cost of living while attending college. Please visit my website if you need more information. I hope you enjoy your visit! LyAnne Peacock
