I was a student editor for the Pacific Review literary journal at California State University, San Bernardino. I am a great candidate for my field because I am very passionate about my writing that will help my audiences gain a different perspective on certain subjects that can get them to think and how they should approach it. I have a lot of experience serving as an Extraordinary Minister where I give the wine and occasionally read the universal prayers, psalms, and liturgy readings. By being part of the Pacific Review, I read over a hundred submissions where I critiqued poetry and fiction on its strengths and weaknesses through Submittable. In addition, I learned how to use InDesign to create front and back covers of a book as well as the page look for a poem or story. I also gained public speaking skills because of my poetry readings in our open mic & CSUSB Meeting of the Minds Symposium. I have a poem published in the Pacific Review Issue 35 on June 14th, 2017, and self-published a poetry book called "29" available on Amazon.
