Steve Pafford is a multi-faceted model turned actor, who’s also written about the arts, entertainment, lifestyle and just about any other international issues that tickle his Greek fancy since the 1990s. Boy George congratulated Steve on his “A-Level Bowie”, while Madonna went further and displayed his acclaimed book BowieStyle, a collaboration with another former Mojo staffer Mark Paytress (Omnibus, 2000), on her Marble Arch coffee table. Though his friend George Michael once chastised him because “He turned up at one of my concerts wearing a T-shirt that said ‘I Wanked Off George Michael’. I should’ve written on the back of it ‘You most certainly did not!’ Steve has had his work featured in a wide variety of British, American and Australian media including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and CNN, music magazines Q, Mojo and Record Collector, lifetyle publications F:S, Gay Times, GuySpy, QX and DNA, newspapers The New York Times, The Independent, The Sun and the Daily Mirror and the record breaking exhibition David Bowie Is. Steve has interviewed and/or worked with an impressive array of cultural legends including Adam Ant, Annie Lennox, Blondie, Boy George, Chris Martin, David Bowie, George Michael, Iggy Pop, Jackie Mason, John Hurt, k.d. lang, La La La Human Steps, Lou Reed, Pennie Smith, Pete Burns, Pet Shop Boys, Philip Glass, Rick Astley, Thomas Dolby and Toyah Wilcox. He’s been photographed by Anton Corbijn and Rankin, directed by Danny Boyle, Matthew Vaughn and Guy Ritchie, has appeared in several blockbuster movies including Captain America: The First Avenger, X:Men: First Class, The Man From Uncle and Snow White And The Huntsman, and on stage in the recent stage production of Fawlty Towers, directed by Adam Stafford.
