As a writer, my focuses have been primarily creative nonfiction (personal essay and memoir) and fiction (short story and novel). I received my master's in creative nonfiction and I am currently working toward my PhD. I am published in literary journals both online and in print and am currently working on a series of novels. I am the managing editor for an international literary journal out of the Midwest and take great pleasure in reading the variety of submissions we receive every month. I have been editing for seven years, both with organizations and as a freelancer. As far as style goes, my expertise is in Chicago and MLA, although I well versed in APA and adapt quickly to new and in-house styles, as well as author preference. I have experience as a ghostwriter, a grant editor, and a blogger, and I am always excited about my next project and new challenges!
