A year out of college with a B.A. in Creative Writing and a Minor in Film Studies, I live life passionately and curiously as I seek to really wet my feet in the waters of the writing world. (Count the Ws in that if you like.) I write and co-create a webcomic called Ever Night while writing other pieces such as short stories, blogs, and more lit fic style samples for grad school resumes. I don't have any paid, professional experience but don't let that fool you--I'm a hell of a wordsmith just looking for her chance. More than proficient with social networking and content writing, poke around Ever Night to see links to most of my social outlets. Have any questions about me or my skills? Just ask. By day, I'm a mild-mannered bicycle mechanic. I spend my time fixing bikes and talking bike advocacy with the neighbors. But by night, I am an art vigilante! Working when the city goes to sleep, I surreptitiously create my art, mostly printmaking and drawing with pen and ink, but occasionally sculpture if I'm feeling ambitious. Because of my profession, there is a lot of crossover of bikes into my art. Is it human-powered? Does it fly? Is it Superheroic and positive? If it is, then you might be looking at some of my art. I have an obsession with human-powered flying machines, bicycles, heroes, and cities. I just can't seem to not think about those things when presented with a blank sheet of paper. I also spend much of my free time writing. Children's stories are of great interest to me. I find that I think the same way kids do. As a result, I'm working on my own kids' story. But I'm open to helping others with theirs! I haven't received many commissions, in fact, I've had about a two year hiatus from art but I'm hoping to recommit myself to it. TRAVIS CLARK 402 S. Brownell Joplin, Mo. 64801 travdog.com1@yahoo.com? 417-691-4416 QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY ENERGETIC AND SELF-MOTIVATED WEB DESIGNER / ANIMATOR with experience in web design 3D animation, 2D effects animation, logo/business card design and illustration . Strengths include communicating concepts through images and generating a wide variety of creative ideas. Able to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment. High energy team player with strong goal motivation; always willing to go the extra mile make the client happy. TECHNICAL SKILLS 3DS Max, Flash CS5, Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, After Effects CS5, PremeareCS5, MAC OS 10, Final Cut Pro4, Cinema 4D, Dreamweaver CS5, QuarkXPress 2004, Microsoft Office, ImageReady, HTML, JAVA Script ACCOMPLISHMENTS Web Design and 3D Animation My work was displayed in a local paper and was also displayed online in an article about the product that DK Global inc specializes in, 3D animation, Medical illustration, Accident Recreation, and Customer Service. The title of the article was "Record in court stands at 100% Redlands firm creates high-tech renderings, which have perfect mark for admissibility" and the team at DK Global and I worked very hard to keep the presentation admissible in court by giving the client exactly what was requested. To foster this ability I developed a back end web site to show the client the progress of the case. I am always thinking of new ways to help us help the client. I developed a flash interface to display the final product which later helped the sales department and now is a part of the 5 star Global view. I built the company web site www.dkglobal.com to match the look and style of the new deliverables. The deliverables showed the case in 3D animation that I also played a big part in creating along with the 3d medical illustrations that I have assisted in building. Worked on a nonprofit independent film Out of the Shadows about the dangers of oxycontin drug abuse. I worked on the 3d animation of the pills and the 2d animation for the dream sequence. I received a trophy for the Best animated Sequence. Designed and maintained Five company web sites that are interlinked to www.phillipsrealty.net proved interactive navigation and informative content. I used PhotoShop CS3 to make the 4 front end banner advertisement for the site using the power of the many tools I used many effects to make the banners really standout. I used HTML on the landing page to put a message about flash to let viewers know that they will need a flash player to be able to view the site with a link to the flash player down load. I also used some JAVA scripting to swap out banner advertisement on refresh to give the illusion that the site is changing each time the person comes back to the site. I used DESPasswordPro to put a login for the V.I.P. Status customers on the front page so that they could quickly gain full access to the V.I.P. site where they can search for MLS’s under each of the Agents along with a Flash based login on the main site. For the main potion of the site I used flash to animate the buttons for the site coming onto the stage. I use action scripting to make the site load to 100% before the site can play. I used five different methods of action scripting for the buttons, key frame, and navigation. With each of the sites there are many items that are only to be accessed from the V.I.P. Status site this site has Featured Agents with each Agent there is a flash based slideshow with a dynamic interface that the viewer can view each MLS one by one with a page loader built in and an animation of a page flipping over to get the look of a real life experience. In a marketing approach to get more traffic to the web sites I have also wrote advertisements and hosted a video contest for college students. Produced and redesigned logos, animated logos, email signatures, and company icons, aligning images with individual company needs. While interning for The Ant Commandos I modeled and animated in 3DsMax 8 and used PhotoShop for the textures to use for texture mapping for a more realistic look. I also animated the finished model to spin 360 at a smooth frame rate to show in full detail. Along with tree extra models of my own design I modeled their entire line of guitar controllers for The Guitar Hero game for PS2, PS3, and XBox360 with photo real lighting and textures. Carl’s Acers of Trailers needed a web site to display all their toy haulers www.carlsdiscounttoyhauler.com I used PhotoShop CS3 to make the 4 front end banner advertisement for the site. The landing page is HTML with a link to the latest flash player down load for those who do not have a flash player. The banner is JAVA scripted so each time the page is loaded there is a different banner and for this I took key frames off the flash portion of the site because the customer wanted the site to be as simple as possible so the site would not need to be updated often because of a small budget. The site has a home page that is animated in flash with action scripting for the loading of the site the animation and the buttons. The inventory pages are the most dynamic built in flash with each toy hauler in the list has a description and a button/slideshow that as you role your mouse over the small photo to the left of the trailer a bigger photo is shown along with two to four photos of the inside of the trailer. Developed multiple projects using web design software to meet client requirements. Conducted my own portfolio website to targeted audiences that need a graphic artist firm. Annamarie Megrdichian at Chino Foundation asked me to design a new web site for their nonprofit organization. www.chinofoundation.org I used PhotoShop CS3 to make the 4 front end banner ads for the site using the power of the many tools I used many effects to make the banners really pop. I used HTML at the front of the site the landing page to put a message about flash to let viewers know that they will need a flash player to be able to view the site with a link to the flash player down load. I also used some JAVA scripting to swap out banner ads on refresh to give the illusion that the site is changing each time the person comes back to the site. For the main potion of the site I used flash to animate the buttons for the site coming onto the stage. I wanted the beauty of Chino to shine through in the web site and in my design. I use action scripting to make the site load to 100% before the site can play. I used five different methods of action scripting for the buttons, key frame, and navigation. Customer/Client Focus Arranged consultation meetings with owners of local businesses, promoting company for creation of websites, networking solutions to generate business. For now I am just putting my name in the freelance writing hat and seeing what all is out here. I am currently working on a few short story projects. I am working on one project for my nieces and nephews so it is geared towards adolescents. My short story project called The Dark Nine which I have posted in my portfolio is a dark vigilante type story that has room to become a series. I have always enjoyed creative writing and would like to gradually transition into someone who writes professionally and not just for pleasure.
