CAROLE McCLINTOCK About the Artist 1965- Carole McClintock is an established Fairfield County Connecticut artist whose works have been carried by many national and international art galleries and exhibits since 1988. McClintock grew up near the ocean in California where the intense light and vibrant colors of the West made a lasting visual impression on the young artist. The youngest of three children, her mother has been an influential force in redeveloping many San Francisco neighborhoods and her father is a small business owner in the field of international shipping. The artist earned a Bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College with a dual focus in Art History and Psychology. McClintock attended the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was able to devote significant time painting at a local studio with a master French painter and visiting major museums across Europe. She has since been creating paintings for a host of distinguished clients including The Windjammer Gallery in Bermuda, Choices Gallery in California, The Field Gallery and The Gardner-Colby Gallery on Martha’s Vineyard, and private collectors worldwide. Her artistic philosophy is to paint from a place of authenticity, not to be inhibited by what a viewer may or may not think. She keeps several photographs of her subject matter visible near the easel, to prompt the starting point of a painting. Then she lets the paint and brush take over. Typically she has five or six paintings in process at the same time. “The main goal I have, is to portray the essence of an image without giving away all the answers. This allows the viewer to engage, reflect, and feel,” says McClintock. “My wish is that people will find a piece that they connect with in order for me to share the passion that I felt when it was inspired.” Currently she continues her painting education with weekly classes at the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, where she has studied with modern day master David Dunlop since 2005. Carole McClintock lives in Weston with her three children. carolemcclintock@gmail.com ~ 203.858.3607 ~ Weston, CT

I am a freelance consultant, researcher, writer, and editor. My specialization is research and writing in the field of education (both international and U.S.), but I also have a background in curriculum development and instruction. I offer services in both English and Spanish. In 2017 I earned a PhD in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia. My doctoral dissertation is based on five months of qualitative research on-site in rural Guatemala. I have a strong background in all steps of the qualitative research process, from writing research proposals, to conducting and transcribing interviews, to writing and editing the final dissertation. I have also authored or co-authored three journal articles on my original research in English and Spanish. As a writer and editor, I am concise and jargon-free. My academic writing and consulting is focused on doctoral-level projects, and I work primarily with PhD students and those looking to transform their dissertations into book manuscripts. My non-academic services extend to all stages of writing, and I work on both small and book-length projects. My goal is to bring every client's work to its fullest potential through polished, thoughtful research and writing. I am committed to providing fast and accurate service, whether I am editing an academic article or dissertation, providing consulting on your doctoral journey, or working with you to bring a commercial book to market.
