Armelle PINDON
Born Sept, 28th 1968

Short Biography:
Armelle Pindon has a double carrier she is now a recognized artist in sculpture, and a scientist, neuropharmacologist, who published her research in high level international journals. She obtained her PhD in Neurosciences (1998) from the University of Paris XI, Orsay. She was a group leader in molecular pharmacology at Janssen Johnson & Johnson pharma. She studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Antwerp (2004), then moved to Tuscany, Italy and is now part of the New York City community of artists.

ARTISTIC CARRIERE
Armelle Pindon was trained and studied sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium (2004) by the internationally recognized sculptor Anemie De Volders. Then she went to Tuscany, Italy, to master the techniques of bronze at the studio foundry DelGiudice in Florence.
During the seven years in Tuscany she became a recognized artist by her piers (4 awards), by the public (numerous sold pieces) and by architects (monumental sculpture at the research medical center of SienaBiotech). She exhibited at the world most important international art event: the Bienale d ‘Arte di Venezia in 2011.
In 2012, she joined the Madarts studio in Brooklyn, New York, and is now represented by the GiacobettiPaul gallery in New York City. She is a member of the American National Sculpture Society.
