Illustrator and Laser Graphic Specialist, Black Hole Weaponry
Moses Lake, Washington — August 2011- October 2012

I worked one on one with customers to create custom art assets for the Ar 15 platform. My job duties required me to work under pressure with minimal supervision to meet deadlines. I was also responsible for operation and maintenance of the laser, promotional photography and editing, Illustration (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator), graphic design for print and web (T-shirts, advertisements, promotional items) documenting customer feedback, minor scripting of the company website (HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver), social media outreach, company forum moderator and overlooked product research and development operations.


-Proactively cross trained on machining equipment and tools (CNC operating, lathe experience, calipers, micrometers, etc) to fill in on the production floor if needed
-Work appeared on NBC’s 3 Gun Nation and Sportsman’s Network’s Predator Pursuit
-Contacted by Major International Sport’s Outfitter, Cabela’s, regarding my custom artwork and potential product line
-Assisted in the company restructuring process successfully growing our small company from 6 to over 25 employees and counting.

My position required a lot of hands on experience with company product and working with our team both on the floor and online. I directed our Prostaff in the testing and marketing of BHW products, gathered data, packaged and shipped product, tracked orders, scheduled production, communicated with customers by phone/email, maintained the company website, and assessed Quality Control.


-Overhauled the company website
-Established an online presence and created the company forum to allow a more personalized customer service and feedback experience
-Introduced new avenues of marketing to expand our customer base
-Collaborated with office staff and supervisors to restructure the company and establish a shop flow
-Assisted in redesigning our ordering system to create better efficiency and enhance shop communication
-Worked with fellow employees and management to create employee handbooks, tool guides and graphs to better assist in the training process.

Diploma in Video Game Art and Design with Foundation for Design as a 3D Character Modeler — 2005-2007; 2009

I lead a team of 10 students as Lead Designer to create a working game prototype in less than 6 months. My studies explored the fundamentals of art and design as applied to Video Games and Animation which included:

Life Drawing, Graphic Design, 2D and 3D animation, 3D modeling, Storytelling for Interactive Media, Storyboarding, programming for the Unreal Game engine, Level Design, Rendering and Compositing, Game Prototyping, Concept Art and various introductory courses in industry standard software.

Journalism — 2003-2005

I worked my way from reporter to Editor in Chief of the student newspaper. I organized a team of section editors and journalists to create a bi-weekly publication using Adobe Pagemaker/InDesign.

My focusing studies included HTML scripting, Photography/photojournalism, English (MLA format and the use of the AP stylebook for Journalism), fine art, Journalism ethics and Libel law. I achieved Vice-President’s list status for my academic performance although I did not complete all of my general studies for my Associates Degree.
