Lead User Experience Designer, Pearson Inc. – May 2007 to May 2008
Worked across multiple business units and disciplines to build consensus. Design and development of multi-lingual digital educational products, including Scott Foresman enVision Math™. Pioneered a new digital platform, including innovations to search and social media experience. Responsibilities; user interface, use case and roadmap development for the product life cycle, business unit presentations, style guides, functional specifications documents, interactive activity templates, production requirements, user-centered design studies and Flash prototypes.
Graphic Design Research Specialist, Pearson Inc. – April 2006 to April 2007
Hired as a designer to begin a research pilot program in explorations of on-line learning. Employed a User Centered Design methodology working directly with students to craft a prototype environment. The prototype formed the central piece of a presentation to Pearson Education’s senior management and was one of the leading factors that led to a rethinking of Pearson’s investment strategy as it applies to education technology.
