Amanda Gallamore is a freelance graphic designer from Missouri where she received her Commercial Arts and Communications degree from Southwest Baptist University in 2006. Upon completion of graduation Gallamore began working in a local screen printing company as a sales representative and later as a graphic designer. In 2010 Gallamore established The Arkeo Agency, LLC as her full-time freelance business.
The name Arkeo, pronounced "ar-keh-o" means to be strong, to suffice, to be enough, to be satisfied, to be contented. The name Arkeo was chosen as a reminder that our strength is found in the Lord. I have had a variety of trials that range from cluster headaches in high school, to major back surgery in college, and being diagnosed in 2009 with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. Now in 2012 the MCTD has been identified as Lupus and doctors have began treatment. Throughout the five years it has taken to receive a diagnosis, life has been like a roller coaster. I can't say I haven't questioned God's purpose at times, but eventually I learned I could only be content when I relied solely upon the Lord's strength.
?In February of 2011 my dad, Rick Gallamore, the most amazing dad in the world, unexpectedly passed away from complications following heart surgery. Many of the photos that are found in the photography section, we took together. He was known for his love for dogs, nature, telling a corny joke, lending a listening ear, and being a servant to everyone. He was always there for our family, whether it was sitting at a sporting event, going shopping, or helping out with the cleaning. My dad was the epitome of a true family man.??
Life is filled with trials...some big, some small; yet it is also filled with blessings in the midst of these storms. I have been blessed in numerous ways from things as small as a smile when I've been sick, or through words of encouragement during my dad's death, to huge things like a massage chair being donated in order to help me with every day pain relief. The blessings that I received were a constant reminder of hope, and I find great joy in being able to share that hope with others. I feel it's important to share my story as a testament of what the Lord has done in my life and through those that have been faithful to Him. Even through hardship and pain, there is always hope and joy and strength in Him.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to work from home. I would love the opportunity to create a custom design for you. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you in the future!
