Resume:
I was born in London in 1964, and grew up in Essex. I knew three passions in my life: drawing, sci-fi and horses. Armed with this eclectic mix, I studied Art at Foundation Level then
gained a Higher National Diploma in Graphic design at Watford Art College.
I started working as a technical and medical illustrator, later returning to education to complete an honours degree at the London College of Printing in Interior Design, specializing in retail and leisure.
After a couple of years working as a commercial interior designer, and always an illustrator at heart, I began to specialize as a visualiser.
I went on to work for a variety of London consultancies both in house and freelance and got to grips with creating plans, elevations, detail drawings, graphics, scamps, perspectives, concept illustrations, commercial storyboards and so on, in a growing variety of media and styles. From traditional pencil, pen and ink, marker, pastel, and coloured pencil to digital media including Photoshop, Corel Draw, Freehand, Illustrator, Sketchbook, Vectorworks and SketchUp.
I have worked with a diverse mix of agencies and clients such as BAA, BMW, BT, Coca Cola, Caterpillar, Dixons Stores Group, Enterprise IG, Garfunkels, Harley Davidson, McDonalds, Marks and Spencer, New Look, Proctor and Gamble, Sainsbury’s, Ann Summers, Virgin and many more.
I now have over 20 years experience as an Illustrator, visualiser and concept artist with clients across the fields of architecture, interior design, advertising and marketing, event, film and television.
In addition I have taught drawing, interior design, digital design and visualisation techniques at various Universities and Colleges including Chelsea School of Art and Teesside University.
I am a member of the Society of Architectural Illustrators.
Now based in the North East, I can usually be found in my home studio on the north York moors but I also work on site if required.
I still fall off horses on a regular basis.
