Over the last 20-plus years, I have inked several stories on topics ranging from fashion to general business to high-technology, life sciences, energy/clean technology, health care, education and entertainment. My award-winning work has been featured in the San Diego Magazine, Pacific magazine, San Diego Business Journal, BizSanDiego, T Sector magazine, CONNECT newsletter, Hispanic Business magazine, Ocean magazine, San Diego Metropolitan magazine, Workforce magazine, as well as on KPBS Radio. As part of my role at UC San Diego, I helped promote the Jacobs School of Engineering as one of the top engineering schools in the United States through various collaborative PR efforts, including press releases, blogging, video and photo production and social media strategies.
As a seasoned business writer I helped launch a financial services industry trade magazine called Best Practices magazine.
My versatile talents have also landed me work writing web site copy, brochures, white papers, case studies, newsletters and press kits, as well as developing social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts. I have exceptional written/oral communication skills and can articulate easily understandable and compelling content.
As part of my volunteer PR services, I recently co-led the successful PR campaign for the inaugural San Diego Surf Film Festival, which not only gained local, national and international media exposure but also sold out all three days.
