Thom is an author of three books, public speaker, free-lance writer, teacher and former corporate public relations executive.
As AT&T-Oklahoma chief of staff and director of public relations for 20 years, Thom Hunter was responsible for carrying out the direction of the president of AT&T in the areas of public relations, regulatory and legislative affairs and community interaction.
Thom was a speechwriter for six consecutive AT&T presidents, helping formulate and communicate company policy. He was responsible for legislative interaction and administered the company's PAC, budget, advertising, and determined placement of grants and contributions statewide. Thom managed AT&T's ethics programs in Oklahoma. This combination of duties resulted in cohesiveness of messaging to strengthen the company's position and give more value to the company's resources.
