Tutored a group of middle-school students in reading skills. Used KnowledgePoints curriculum to assist students in improving skills including comprehension, following directions, using context, phonics exercises and reading aloud. Devised and utilized strategies to meet the individual learning needs of each student. Monitored progress and rewarded students as they advanced.
Measurement Inc., Nashville, TN (2006-2008, seasonal full-time position, 2009 project)
Evaluated and scored the essay portions of standardized tests required by state departments of education. Held positions of reader, floater and team leader. Upon promotion to floater and then team leader, determined scores for “irregular” test answers and gave administrative support to project directors. Completed ten projects total; at team leader level for three (writing) projects. Advised, monitored scoring accuracy and evaluated job performance for my team members.
