Hello, my name is Natalie Lapacek, and I am a Mass Communications graduate student who would love the opportunity to do any writing, editing, or research for you and/or your company. The following describes my strongest skills in a bit more depth:

• Writing and Editing Experience - I currently work as a high school newspaper adviser and journalism teacher. In this position, I show students how to write in a journalistic style and to edit writing with the intention of clearly informing audiences. As a research supervisor at Cision US, Inc., I helped compile the company’s media directory, which required strong writing and editing skills. As a contributing editor and writer for the Cision Navigator, I was responsible for editing all media update articles thoroughly, and I additionally wrote for the media spotlight section of the e-newsletter, which highlights outstanding workers in the media industry.

• Extensive Design and Publishing Skills -- At McCluer, I teach students how to use InDesign and Photoshop for the school’s quarterly news magazine, and I make the final layout and text edits before I submit it to the printers. At Cision, I edited the photos, images and overall look of the media update articles for the Navigator before they were published online.

• Strong Organizational and Planning Skills - Working in media research, editing, publishing and teaching has taught me the importance of being adequately prepared for any setbacks or additional projects that come my way by staying organized. In both corporate and scholastic publishing, I have learned to set schedules for myself, prioritize and meet strict deadlines.

Please refer to my resume posted below for more information.
