My name is David Girard, and I am an experienced artist as a classical 2D/ Flash animator. A graduate of the Animation-Television program from Algonquin College from Ottawa, Ontario. I have also completed a one year program in Art and Design Foundations.
I have 7 years of experience in the animation industry as a pose to pose animator on 2D productions and independent shorts. I have also animated in Flash software, full scenes from posing to inbetweening and flash effects on a TV series premiere and a animated feature.
As an independent freelance artist, I provide art commissions from pencil portraits, comic art, tattoo art, poster art, logo design, oil and acrylic painting, mural painting and sculpting. I have an online portfolio on my personal website with my creations.

An independent film documentary about the junction creek restoration movement. A integration of live action and flash animation of narrator and boy discussing historical facts of the creek. The video was featured at the Cinefest film festival in Sudbury, Ontario where the creek is based.

Independent shorts for a cable company. The Great Outdoors was a live action seasonal show about extreme sports. I was conctracted to animate cycles to integrate with show along with creating the logo design for the show. Commander Fabulous was a promotional intro for TV Cogeco news. An animated video in 2d designs animated pose to pose in flash.
