I am a skilled “win-win” situation negotiator and have more than 25 years negotiation, drafting & leadership experience with multidisciplinary, local and international, contracts and proposals, and the development and re-engineering of attendant processes and policies.
Of note, I was lead negotiator on a full-scope, complex, large (R600m) and strategic outsourcing IT contract for government, I established sets of standard terms between a major IT services supplier and government and many commercial companies, and have set up and managed a University Projects and Contracts Office.
I have extensive successful project management experience in various disciplines and industries. During 2003 to 2006, I was Projects & Contracts manager for a University company and negotiator, drafter and project manager of several University / Customer research, engineering, scientific and educational contracts. In 2008 & 2009, I contract negotiated and project managed an intricate language skills training project for a large mining company under the auspices of the University company.
An additional major area of my expertise and experience is in the creation, delivery and teaching of business courses and seminar input, with particular focus on negotiation and conflict resolution skills, the production of effective statements of work, quality RFPs and proposals, and information management. In 2010, I created and rolled out an Information Management course for government.
Currently, I provide contract negotiation, project management and course / seminar consultancy services to IT and university companies.
