I am a journalist from Ohio who graduated with a degree in Electronic Media Management, from Kent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. I am primarily interested in politics, women's rights, and gay and lesbian issues. Although I tend to write and read about serious topics, I'm a big fan of humorous movies and comedic writing as well.
I studied a wide variety of media techniques in college. I was a columnist and editorial writer for an award-winning college paper. I also did producing work for news programs and entertainment programs at my school's television studio, where I learned basic production methods and Final Cut Pro.
My first internship was for a local newspaper in Northeast Ohio, and my senior internship was at The Advocate, a gay and lesbian magazine and website in Los Angeles. Currently, I'm concentrating on freelance and creative writing work until I enroll in graduate school.
