My name is Josiah Atkins. I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and grew up in Ontario, Canada. I have been in seven different countries world wide in Latin America and Africa. My art is very influenced by my travels and me view of our connectedness to the world around us. I aim for every piece to portray the transcendent beauty in simple things. The theme of pilgrimage or journey is in every final product.
I have been a freelance artist for about three years and am experienced in pen and ink (stippling) and acrylic. I have art displayed at Mount Royal University, Rocky Mountain College, the House Coffee Sanctuary, and Higher Ground Cafe. I have also done large scale set designs for musicians.
