Karin Cox has worked in the publishing industry for more than 13 years and is a former Senior Editor who has worked in both the United Kingdom and in Australia. Since becoming a fulltime author in 2007, she has had more than 28 fiction and non-fiction titles for children and adults published, including Amazing Facts about Australia’s Early Settlers and Amazing Facts about Australian Wildlife Conservation, both listed as notable books on the 2010 Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Books list. In 2010 she was also the recipient of two Whitley Awards for natural history writing, in the categories of Zoological Conservation for Amazing Facts About Australian Wildlife Conservation and Popular Zoology for Australian Wildlife: Unique and Unusual.
Karin enjoys writing for children and has published several storybooks, including Toby Goes To School, Rusty and the Rainbow and Down to Earth, as well as short stories, numerous poems and a plethora of non-fiction titles for adults. She has although authored a memoir, Roma: From Prison to Paradise, published by New Holland in 2004. Karin spends her time writing and helping other writers achieve their dreams by way of freelance editing and ghostwriting services. She lives in sunny Capalaba, Australia, with her partner and her pets.
